This is true joshs. I don't actually mean to suggest he should be traded now for the first offer from Calgary that is better than NYR offer. I guess all I am saying is, if we are to proceed building around Dahlin, Cozens & the rest, how long can we have this selfish Richard on our team? You know guys like Harrington will be asking Cozens after every game what he thinks about the fact that the captain isn't even playing?

Adults can handle this but we are moving forward with guys who are 20-22 years old roughly. All I know is that when I was that age, I didn't know my Richard from my balls in terms of real life and all that.

Boss I hear you but if you care about my two pennies I think that what he's getting at is right which is that Eichel wants to be treated like McDavid without having 1/10th of the resume at this point. Anyone with eyes knows what a hockey player he is. But his personality has kind of put us into this corner we find ourselves in now, would you agree or no?

Totally agree about top 5. He's such a dynamic player and I made every excuse in the book for him until this season. I wanted to believe that he was just a young, immature kid caught up in success and would grow up but now I have seen enough otherwise to wake up.

I know a guy who was a lower-level prospect who came of age around that time in the USHL (undrafted but was a USHL player).

He said he was in a camp with Zemgus Girgensons who basically blew everyone away with his skill. Really puts in perspective how talented you have to be to make the show even as a 3rd/4th liner.

for sure its relative. the kid i know played in the USHL and NCAA. was one of the last cuts from the USDT program. and he went undrafted, too.

It's annoying how fans from other teams insist that Jack is this poor soul who is being medically kidnapped and held hostage by the Sabres. Not saying anyone would be thrilled about this situation but he has to shoulder some responsibility in this too.

Just tired of hearing of it. No one put a gun to his head and shoved $10MM/year into his pockets as he cried out and screamed No means No!

Front Office brought in guys such as Kane, Skinner, Hall, all thought to be "high skilled guys to play on his wing" & obviously we know how those moves worked out. Still, it isn't as if they didn't try.

Also slapped a C on him so that he didn't have to feel like he was in the shadow of that guy who went one pick before him. You know, the one he thinks he is better than.

Funny how prior to his availability being the biggest open secret in the league in a while, other fans/writers would blast him as "GM/Coach/Captain Eichel" and talk about how he was a locker room cancer. They were actually right about that part! Now, suddenly, everyone would LOVE to add him for two bags of pucks, 6-er of gatorade bottles and half his salary retained.

Jack got 80 million to lead this team and quit on the whole thing 3 years later. Yeah, it's sucked here for a while. But he could have been part of a solution and he wasn't. Last year's 18 games made that perfectly clear to me.

Sorry for the rant would just like to rip this bandaid off and move along.
