He most certainly is

The guy was a good soldier and did the best he could but yeah he was just a wee bit miscast. Good soldier or not I’ve seen just about enough of him . |

I mean we made it further then we did the year before with Lee there. That’s the angle here no? Let’s get rid of Lee, get some cap space, and get a defenseman. Thankfully we have Komarov for another year. Easy peasy. - Cptmjl

His biggest knock seems to be his skating which can be fixed (look at Tavares as an example). He’s looking like an excellent pick by Lou so far. - Cptmjl
Sounds like he fits right into as a Lou and Barry type two way center. In that interview from he link I attached Ryan Kennedy said he equates him to a Monahan type player from Calgary. I'd take that. |

Seeing some speculation (unfounded, of course) that Chara could be a possibility. I’m not wild about it, but I’m also not upset about it. - potvin05
I had mentioned Chara a while back. The whole "bring him home" for one more season kind of thing. That was either before Leddy got traded or right after when there was talk of replacing Leddy. I'd like Chara as a bottom 6 pairing, maybe even spot duty as a middle pairing. For a million bucks, I'd take a flyer on him. As long as there is space after everyone is signed and Leddy's spot is filled. |

No I’m referring to others that stated that.
You weren’t even posting then so sorry if you thought that was aimed at you my apologies.
I don’t think Barry’s going into the season with Greene penciled in as #4. As I said I’m thinking they will give Doby a look at #4. Of course just my opinion. - nyisles7
We shall see, my friend. |

This guy seems to think Aho might be the guy who fills Leddy's spot. |

I still think Lameriello has a deal in place but who knows maybe he doesn’t. If that’s the case it very well may be Aho if he can’t make something happen… |

I've been a fan of Aho. He's obviously not going to be a star, but he was very productive in the AHL in his 3 seasons there and I'd really like to see what he's got at the NHL level over a long period of time.
He probably fits, more or less, what Leddy was. Marginally-productive mobile puck-mover who's acceptable in his own end. It wouldn't be the worst thing to start the season with a little cap flexibility either. |

I wouldn’t hate that. The man has done his time and didn’t looked terrible in his brief stint last year. Give him a few weeks with Trotz, and I could see Aho being a fit. |

Could be up and down for awhile with Aho, but leaving some flexibility, in terms of cap space, could be a good thing. After Murray signed, I don't think there's really anyone particularly attractive out there as a UFA. Maybe Vatanen, but he can never seem to stay healthy. If we're going to make a trade anyway we may as well wait it out and see how things could go with Aho over a larger sample size. |

Why Aho before Dobson? Makes no sense to me. They went and got a vet ( forgot who already) for depth last year for the PO run and also played Hickey before bringing Aho into the mix. Maybe he gets a shot at a bottom pairing role but replace Leddy. I’m not buying it. |
