I have been thinking about the need for a top four defenseman and the the addition of a Top six winger. This has lead me to look at our assets.

I loved Franzy.. especially on the shootout, but I will never forget that game 7 vs. the caps. Our shut down center in a tie game late in the 3rd letting his guy walk from the wall to the net.

although maybe if you trade both Ruslan Ishkhakovs one of them will pan out.

watching replay of Game 5 vs. Pens on NHL network.. Man was that an incredible game by Sorokin. Mayfield and Greene both played incredible too. Ebs seemed to play his best against Pens too. ... Leo not so much

Possibly to be used to as a trade weapon. He wasn't saying that Lou was working on a trade, just might be why we haven't heard anything. I don't know, but it sounds plausible.
Cpt., I agree with you regarding Tarasenko. I'm over it. If he lands here, so be it, but I think we have enough weapons right now. With Lee coming back and Wally should be full time in the line up, that should add the scoring punch we need. I don't even think we need to re-sign Zajac.

With the addition of Palmieri, Parise, (unfortunately Zajac maybe), and if we retain Beau there’s no point in adding anyone up front. You kind of made your bed at that point with those additions unless you lose a forward or two. Like I’ve said multiple times the focus should be, and I would think is, our backend.

Lou certainly does lock things away. If he has anyone, besides Pelech, signed, or at least agreed to in principle, it's amazing that not even a peep about it has been leaked. Yeah, I know, there's been whispers about Zeeker being done. But nothing about anyone else. Sorokin was discussed but that was just speculation. Only a few more weeks before camps start, so I would think if Lou was going to make a move, it will be pretty soon. The first preseason game in 9-26, which is only 4 weeks away. I know teams have until the first game to be cap compliant, but that's only 6 weeks away. Guess we'll find out then who Lou signed.
