No, big difference than the Barzal contract last year. He wasn’t signed until it was announced. He missed some camp because of it. Not a good practice and certainly wasn’t what Lou wanted to do no matter what stories were thrown around the internet.
These signing are agreed upon and are being kept quiet so that the other GMs/team don’t have a clue what the Islanders Cap situation is or what their roster is coming into this season.
Beau is the only one that can be exactly like Barzal where as Lou and Beau’s camp haven’t agreed to a contract yet. Hope that’s not the case and if so hope it gets done before camp opens.
