Rasmus Ristolainen had the worst xGAR in the entire league at -10.3

Cody Eakin had the 4th worst forward xGAR in the entire league at -6.1. Tied with tallness.

OG Larry was 4.4.

Eakin was actually ranked 25th worst actual GAR at -3.

What this says is that he was a (frank)ing pit on the ice and was bailed out by his linemates often, as the expectation was for him to be much worse.

He could’ve scored 22 goals this year, in a short season and still would’ve been a net negative with how terrible he was defensively, on the PK, and generating offense

I just posted their stats with evidence because someone didn't seem to see why Eekin had value when they signed him. You mentioned eye test with Risto today for God's sake when I mentioned how WAR goes up and down based on the quality of the team and you are complaining about basic stats?!?!

Like I stated in the first post. I know who I'm arguing with. I've put forth more effort than I claimed I would. So that's on me.

But defending Eakin is.. well.. obtuse.

It’s absolutely insane considering what we saw of him this year

The leagues worst team eventually made him a healthy scratch because they had enough. And that’s with one of their centers out of the year

He’s one of the all time worst Sabres players and UFA signings

And people are talking about some goals he scored years ago

How about Rusto, does he keep growing and improving under Granato, how much more can the Coach bring out of him. Might not have the most talent on are team, but we have a lot of guys that can play the game and won't take shifts or nights off.
