What a sneaky good signing, they were able to convince him to a better chance of winning than Buffalo could which is a talent wasteland

Buffalo will have more talent in the booth with Rick Jenearet than they will on the ice next year

Happy birthday RJ

Some experts picked the U of Michigan to win the NCAA championship but they were eliminated from the tournament by COVID. Maybe he wants to have a crack at the title with his college buddies.

Yeah they are loaded this year, I don't blame him.

NIL allows this now.

I am thinking Little Caesars should sponsor him. Is that a conflict of interest for Detroit? Tampering?

With an increased focus on larger, more impactful events and uses of the city-owned arena, the city of Glendale has chosen to not renew the operating agreement for the Arizona Coyotes beyond the coming 2021-22 season.

So that's actually a weird loophole that nobody has thought of:

Could the Buffalo Sabres hire him as a spokesperson to promote the Buffalo Sabres?

If I was a sarcastic franker, I would point out that sometimes it's better to own your arena than rent one.

Or, hear me out here:

The Toronto Maple Leafs should pay him $5M per year X 3 years, with the stipulation in the contract that if he doesn't graduate, he repays every penny.

He stays in school for three more years.

He becomes a UFA.

I'm liking the Toronto odds of signing a kid who grew up in Toronto, and was paid $15M to wear a Leafs hat for three years while at Michigan.

Don't think so.

You finally have the balance of 16 Eastern and Western Conference teams.

I think they will try to find an Arizona solution. If not, at least a western solution.

Set the bar low. Achieve goals.
- Pairo11

Maybe the Sabres will achieve that in five to six years. Can’t stress maybe enough. I say this knowing if the Sabres scraped their way into a wild card spot you would be planning a parade.

I think the young kids will surprise a couple of much better teams here or there this upcoming season. However I’m under no illusions. we’re definitely finishing bottom 3 and probably last. Fully expect us to lose all lottery picks too and Wright goes elsewhere. Just par for the course now 🤷‍♂️ I’d much rather never be in the lottery again but this is the way things are.

Well, that's one way to leverage a move of the club without Uncle Gary's express approval.
