Despite the President threatening to send people door to door to jab you, significant numbers of people remain either hesitant or flatly opposed to rolling up their sleeves. This has the CDC continuing to struggle with the data and look for ways to improve the rates. Some of that data has turned out to tell a story that’s a bit different than the one you’re generally hearing on cable news, however. You’ve probably been told that “white Republican males” are the chief drivers of low vaccination rates, and they certainly show up in the mix. It's a percentage, and since people with doctorates make up ~1% of the US population it won't take as many to have a higher percentage of unvaccinated than say, service industry workers or nurses.
It's sample size fallacy pure and simple.
And since you can get a doctorate in design, church music, fine arts, Hebrew studies, musical arts, recreation, and sacred theology maybe we shouldn't be putting those people on pedestals. They were professional students, that's it.

At my sister's graduation from pharmacy school they were announcing students who were in their 40's and had multiple masters and PhDs. Some people just go to school forever. How the (frank) they can afford it I have no idea.
