Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine for adolescents has yet to be authorized by federal health officials in part because they are investigating emerging reports that the shots may be associated with a higher risk of a heart condition in younger adults than previously believed, according to two people familiar with the review who emphasized the side effect still probably remains very uncommon.

The investigation, which involves the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is focusing on Canadian data that suggests the Moderna vaccine may carry a higher risk of myocarditis for young people than the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, especially for males below the age of 30 or so. The authorities also are scrutinizing data from the United States to try to determine whether there is evidence of an increased risk from Moderna in the U.S. population for the condition, which causes inflammation of the heart.

Hurry up and get your third shot boys.

I will, for sure. Thanks.

Stay safe, and don't come crying if you fall to this illness if not vaccinated. That's on you, and you alone.

What's the max contract value?...15% of the then current Cap ceiling I think.
If so, that would be ~$12m per.

- IonSabres

I believe it is 20% of the cap.

I mean, I don’t think the dude is a top line center, but how could you not be optimistic that he’s a possibly good top 6 center is beyond me.

He showed multiple flashes, and the raw talent is there.

Nothing like what Girgensons looked like

Itll be interesting to see how Granato deploys Mittelstadt and Cozens. I'm thinking Mittelstadt has a 60 point season this year. Cozens probably 45. Seems like Granato wants to match Cozens up against the opposition's top lines when possible

Some similarities between Cozens and Couturier?

not sure why people (writers) think kane is going to come home...i know it's merely speculation with future ufa's, but he's got it made in chicago and they'll probably have a team of their own on the rise...

and in 2023, the sabres could go after a stanley cup, conn smythe and selke winner in ror...

It's a huge cop out but I want to see another season before making any predictions

If you asked me today, I think Mittelstadt has the higher offensive ceiling but I go back and forth on that a lot. I also think it's possible that if an Eichel trade brings back another high-caliber center prospect that Cozens moves to the wing.

There's a lot up in the air

That's not how it works here sir.

You have to make immediate proclamations like McTavish is going to be a bust because he totally cannot skate.

I'm not prepared to say that Cozens will ultimately be a center, but yeah, he'll be solid defensively.

Couturier is a top-5 underrated player in this league and is damn good. I don't like comparing young players to established really good NHLers because I think it puts undue pressure on them.

Frankly I don't know what Cozens is yet.

He's going to have a long career. I believe that. I can already see him as a greybeard on the 4th line of a cup team.

Nice post. I thought Cozens stood out, in a good way, as a winger. That’s saying a lot bcz almost everybody looked bad last year.

The good news about this season is that the Sabres are finally going to learn a lot about the young talent on this team instead of playing vets for too many minutes because management wanted to sneak into the playoffs.

I'm really not finding any trouble having goodwill for the season. By the time the season starts we will have a clear resolution on eichel and a complete flush of previous teams. Nobody is going to expect anything except growth from the start of the season to the end of the season. My hope Is that we get to see Power after the NCAA season, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it to be sure.
I'd like to see us beat the Flyers a few times. Other than that I'm not looking for much.

Yup. I think we'll get an entertaining product with some fun moments. The team is overall pretty likeable because of their status as a bunch of kids, castaways and the ancient goalie playing for the love of the game.

I'm thinking there's a strong chance you see Power signed after this college season and he gets at least a 9 game look to end the season.
