zadorov just signed for 3.75.
Think this may help the flyers case with sanhiem. |

Most universities have contracts with Pepsi. They get more contracts due to what they provide and the cost. Coke has some of the largest contracts though and is bigger overseas. - Peter Richards

Something to ponder regarding next season, is how willing are they to have Frost make the lineup on opening night?
That top 9 really does need another dynamic forward, and not another ditch digger.
Frost hasn’t really impressed me, albeit with limited viewings. The pace factor, which I have seen some speak of, believe Bill in particular is something I agree with.
He has the potential to be a very important piece, hopefully he forces AV’s hand. |

Hamilton Coyotes sounds good - 2Real
Thing is, Canada isn’t such a great destination for the league.
People talk about changing demographics here, it’s definitely more so up North. The Raptors are just an easy modern example. In 20 years, are largely immigrant non European families going to drive hockey Canada, and support the game itself in the same way?
The NHL is smart for trying to grow its American market where there is more money to go around. I might be wrong, but is the potential long term payoff worth it by moving another club to Canada?
Just because the product has failed in Arizona, doesn’t mean it can’t work elsewhere. Who thought Nashville or Carolina would be so viable? |

Pepsi biggest selling city in world over coke is Buffalo. Or at least it used to be. |

I think if hamilton or quebec wants a team, the nhl will wait to expand again. Just too much money in franchise fees to ignore. Why move a team when someone will pay close to 1 billion to buy a team

Athletic just did a redraft of the 2018 draft, farabee at #4. Good pick ronnie, O'Brien not in the 1st round.....bad pick ronnie lol. Scott Wheeler had him ranked #69 and flyers took him 19. Still time to turn that around. But having zero production from a 1st round pick after 4 years has to sting a bit. - bradster
Yeah I wasn’t pissed at the job pick just perplexed I know some say he was moving up draft boards and probably would’ve been taken depending how far hexy traded back if he would’ve but is he some player you DONT risk? Idk. I didn’t think so. Weird swing for fences pick that was. I get why they did it but makes me wonder because hexy wouldn’t swing when moving from 13 to 2 and taking safe pick nopa. Just weird. |

Ronnie is always the smartest guy in the room, and that's half the problem. I wasnt pissed at the pick. Similar to you, I was more like who is that guy, and he played high school, weird.

my take is when you have 2 1st rd picks you take your shot with the 2nd one. yes the choice was odd as he played against horrible competition.

Well they did clearly quit and showed no will to fight. IMO the fix was in and this was what the afgan govt intention all along. They laid down like dogs.
The plan to exit was/is/ will always be a total disgrace. There was no plan just a fly by night BS exercise. Don't worry China will be invading Taiwan sooner than later. Then what does this lefitst regime do? - hello it's me 2050
I think the Afghan army lost somewhere near 70,000 people since the takeover many years ago. Believe NATO, which includes America, lost a maximum of somewhere around 3500.
Most of these guys were likely simply looking to feed their families. I don’t blame them for not subscribing to some Kardashian utopia when their culture is vastly different.
If you leave fine, but you don’t leave like incompetent idiots. |

right now he's probably on the outside looking in, so i think the only way he makes the team is by forcing their hand. |

As I believe the arbitration award is now either or. Either they side with player or team. I believe it was changed where arbitrator has to choose which offer to agree with with no ability to make his own decision I think sandy probably asking in the 6 mil range and team offering in the 3 mil range. They obviously are far apart or wouldn’t be going to arbitration.
I think sandy will win. |

If only there was an 18,000 capacity arena in a hockey crazed province in Canada ready for the 2022-2023 season???
My guess is this is a last ditch effort for the city to collect the $1M plus the Coyotes owe them. I'm sure the league steps in and finds a temporary solution to keep them there until a new arena is ready in AZ or elsewhere.
BUT- I agree that it is time for Bettman to cut the cord and just get out of AZ. A team would have to switch to the Western Conference if Quebec City is selected. As I sarcastically mentioned, they have an 18,000 seat arena that, I think, the Ramparts use. - cdearth23
If they move it's gonna be Houston.
Huge market, an interested owner (the guy who owns the Rockets) a hockey-ready arena. It was always kinda fishy that the 'Yotes got pushed into the Central division...
Quebec is the sympathy pick, but it's still a tiny market. Can they afford an $80M payroll? Or will they be like Ottawa? |

Hamilton won’t get a team. They’re too close to Buffalo and Toronto |

Too close to Buffalo. They won’t put a team in 2 small markets that close too each other |

I didn’t watch any of job prior to draft but was aware of him. Knew some were talking him up somewhat. But overall wasn’t 1st round worthy by most until close to draft by some. Never thought philly was in picture unless they traded back and then selected him. IMO it was a major reach where selected. I mean if he pans out who cares as they already selected bee in draft just will be perplexed until he develops more and we see what we got in him. Always a long term project. Time is getting close tho. Should know a lot more in the next year or 2 |

Yeah I kinda wanted Samuelson with that 2nd pick. Maybe a a little bit of reach at time of draft but big stay at home dman that probably really fit that maybe 4th dman or at least 5/6 bottom pair would’ve been a solid pick with already getting top talent farabee. |

What a pathetic news conference by Biden.
Blaming the Afghan military for the current situation, and them not continuing to fight. The same people you sold a bag of magic beans to so they would fight on your behalf.
Teach them, and train them to fight as we do with air support. Pull the air support, and leave them high and dry. What idiot would stay and fight at that point knowing they were screwed. - FlyerFan3260
That’s the American way. |

2 first round picks and Hexy takes a wild chance on a kid that nobody wanted until at least the 3rd round.

Flyers need to shed a player for some space so if Chuck is listening:
Ottawa - Laughton
Flyers - Tierney ($1M retained) + 3rd

Houston would make much more sense and would have an instant rivalry with Dallas while still giving Bettman a big southern US market for tv. |

- Letterkenney Seems like a standard GM thing, work to get an extra firstie and spend it on a wish and a prayer. Hope O'b turns into a player...thing is not much to choose from at that pick or later
