Blueger is a leader. Only in HCMS world do leaders get demoted rather than promoted.

Love Blue, if the Pens can add a 4c I'm all for Carter going to RW and bump Blue up. I don't want another Jankowski or Mcegg etc.. centering the 4th line it blows, we've been there done that a few times now. Even when Sid and Geno were younger it sucked. We need all 4 lines to be good. |

Not gonna happen.
Who are we kidding, Malkin and Carter are going to be injured most of the season anyway.
Just play your best players.

Nah. - j.boyd919
I actually just looked up the stats and Matt Cooke was better his entire career than Hagelin ever will be and Tanev has produced almost the same offense as a penguin as Hagelin did. Difference is Tanev wasn’t even here two full seasons compared to Hagelin’s 2 plus and Hagelin had much better quality teammate. If having viable options to produced offense in your bottom six is truly needed you would be a fool to ever pick Hagelin over either Tanev or Cooke. Just showing how small minded and hypocritical Stats world is. |

Ryan Wilson: Remembering the HBK line - Ryan_Wilson
Nice article, Ryan.
"The HBK line had more offensive punch and probably deserved to have a Conn Smythe winner in Phil Kessel."
From an outside perspective, Kessel 100% deserved it that year |

No that jives with real life.
Where I work you need to crash a truck or do something real stupid to get promoted. The last guy I can think of got too drunk on a company jet while travelling to a conference and yelled at the flight attendant. He was then fired improperly. Th Hr girl now runs the department and the dude was paid to relocate to the town he flew to and runs the department there. 🤷🏻♂️ |

Honestly didn’t even look at stats when I made my opinion so nice try. Hags was just a better player to the eye test. Statistically, Tanev has never scored more than 30 whereas Hags has a few seasoning hovering around 40. Tanev is overrated because he hits people but the dudes like 150 lbs soaking wet so I’m sure no one gives a (frank) about getting hit by him. |

Half our dmen and forwards are less than 150lbs without their hear, my 13 yr old son is bigger than guentz and simon,,,,we wiill have a good season make the playoffs then get pounded in the 1st round by an inferior team with Sullivan making no changes,. The die has been cas, which sucks. New gm makes minor changes but keeps all his draft picls
..i dont im going out on a limb with any of these predictions,.
Ps Jarry has a good off-season but melts down in playoffs no help from ffrom dmen to clear net...smaller and slower team compared to last uear,. Oh well but we make the playoffs,,

This was like the first time in like three or four years where the blue line wasn't the problem. We needed goal scorers and stronger play in net. We got neither. Shouldn't be waisting limited assets on a blue line shake up. |

I think Tanevs never ceasing pursuit of the puck is why he is rightfully valued at the pay rate he receives. A lot of times getting a body on the puck carrier creates a lot. He also stays in pursuit when the rest of the guys on the bench would have turned and went to the bench which catches a lot of d men off guard. That and he isn’t a deer in the headlights when he gets a scoring opportunity like Haglin has always been. If Hags wasn’t a part of the HBK line I’d be willing to bet he would’ve be o playing in Sweden by now. |

Today is my birthday so respect my opinion: Cooke was a better player than Hagelin or Tanev for sure. Grinder is right.
Btw I think Simon is a smarter player than Rodrigues. At least he used to be lol That said we didn’t need BOTH on the team. Geez. |

Oh and from last thread MattStrat, it had to be a line that actually played together so if you want Hossa with Sid you'd have to go Dupuis-Sid-Hossa. I contemplated it but decided with Guentz-Sid-Horn - 668710
Ah gothcya. I thought it was all time players.
I dont know...Kuny-Sid-Dupuis was pretty damn special too....
