We're going to miss, probably by only a few points, and GMJB and TG will both be gone before the end of it. Then we're going to get some star GM or cast-off from one of the few Stanley Cup winning orgs like STL, WAS or TBL and a star coach in Babcock.
Bank on it, FA is stupid like that, I should know as I used to work for him at the Golden Eagle pro shop before he fired the entire staff for not meeting his horribly unrealistic expectations. - DariusKnight
Sorry but this isn't last season. On paper alone Canucks are better in all areas. With a healthy line up and decent schedule they should be battling for top spot in division.
Vegas got worse loosing MAF/Reeves. Oilers are worse on D losing Larsson adding Keith. Flames a tire fire and now with Gio gone that room is a cesspool of character. |

Jeezus Jurmo is a big kid

He's got the tools but questionable toolkit. They should get him to Abby next season. He needs a lot of work but most D take years. |

Better on paper? perfect for Strat-O-Matic. |

Better for him to play big minutes there than fewer minutes in Abby

Seen McCartney pay his respects earlier today to him. He is a hell of a song writer but sure sucks at winging it from the top of his head. |

I was always hit/miss on the Stones but it doesn't change the fact it's sad he's gone.
What a major contribution to the music industry in general.
McCarntney is a bit of a wing nut lol |

Back in the 60 s their music was rebellious . They were the bad boys . I didn't actually like them when I was growing up but at the same time thought they were pretty good . Stones/Beatles rivalry. Eventually people realized how great they were.

Not on defense. And Green is still the head coach. - Marwood
Wrong. I'll put this out for the peanut gallery.
OEL and Poolman combined are better then a declining Edler and NS. Poolman is getting into prime years where he was being relied on more to munch minutes. OEL already did more then Edler and NS. His talent surpasses both too. Add in possibility he's rejuvenated playing somewhere he wants to be and thrive under spotlight. Even if he doesn't return to 1D levels he's already above Edler and NS who are at best 4/5 D.
Hamonic is back to normal having lost 1.5 years to Covid and injury. All the above alone helps QH rebound. Bonesy is the new X factor. OJ is better then Benn. Especially with healed body and P1 recovery having been hit hard.
Green is a better coach then some think. He also proved how he's looking to improve by seeking out Shaw. Not a yes man. But someone that brings a challenging perspective to augment systems and deployment. Plus they added a specialist coach to iron out details. All this is a coaching plus. |

it wasn't meant for you as I said peanut gallery. You're far removed from being a skeptic. As everyone knows, you're an anti-fan that rejoices in Canuck misery. |

Michkov—like Canada’s Connor Bedard—is eligible for the 2023 NHL draft, but he has signed a 5 year contract with SKA St Petersburg that will keep him in the KHL through the 2025/26 season.
He is a 16 year old playing in the KHL ( Scored today in his first pre-season game) Benning's new love for Russians may be something to keep an eye on . A lot of teams may avoid him seeing he is committed 3 years after draft to KHL.

PodK was ranked top 3 and dropped because he was committed for two years . I am not disagreeing but that third year could detour teams

Sure. But if Canucks are picking top 10 that won't be a set back year. Canucks would be rebuilding again and trading away core much like Sabers. |

I see the Oilers joined the Canucks and Jets in requiring proof of vaccination to attend games. It's gonna be hilarious to watch the redneck meltdowns over how they're being "discriminated against" on twitter tonight |
