Yennefer cast was nice. Not sure about black Triss though...I get the "representation" thing but it's a Polish novel and I would've liked to see a hot red-head Triss.

Yeah, the show is inspired by the books where she doesn't have a really big role I think. But still...if you can't make an all-white people show even though it makes more sense in the context of the story without it being "racist"...I think it's bullpoop.

To be honest, in the books she is described as having "chestnut hair"

CD Projekt Red made her an important character in the games, but in the books she isn't as important. (the games stories happen after the books)

Also, what didn't really helped is that the author made a few short stories that don't stick in a specific order and then started series of novels that followed a specific narrative. Season one is mostly the short stories (the battle with the striga, the djinn, the golden dragon), while you follow the fall of cintra and Ciri's story (which is from the main story of the books) and they give you a background story on Yennefer. Next season will be more linear now that the timelines of the three main characters have converged.

Season 2 will start with the last short story they had not covered yet. Then it will be on with the main storyline.

Yeah, that's why I said that season 1 is a good base for what could be a great series.
