Well well well, how the turntables.... I'm in Germany so I'm 9 hours ahead of Van, takes me a while to catch up to things.

That said, the interview was meh, mainly because it's Bo. He gave very captain-like answers, straight-forward and not trying to rock the boat. Not the best guy to get some juicy details from.

Maybe that was the most quotable thing. The TG interview from the other week was much more interesting as I think TG is a much more interesting person lol

Pretty much

Donna was right, pretty boring stuff, although I always like when players say they want to win/make playoffs, no matter how cliche it is.
I would prefer to hear them say losing sucks.

Ya, Horvat isn't the best interviewee – which probably makes him a better person/captain to deal with the media. Just a lot of cliche answers. Oh well.

I wonder if Canucks employees get a staff discount at Top Table restaurants…

While you were sleeping #Canucks Flag of Finland goalie prospect Aku Koskenvuo was turning away 35 shots in blanking Flag of Russia at the U20 Four Nations tourney in the Flag of Czech Republic.

A development in the Jack Eichel situation: hearing he is now going to be represented by Pat Brisson.

Top Table is the group of restaurants owned by Aquilini. When Drance asks favorite restaurant, all the Canucks have said Bluewater or Italian Kitchen etc.

Greg Wysh was musing yesterday about if Eichel would get the surgery he wants even without consent from the Sabres.

Crazy situation but I would not trade for him with his health in question but hoping Flames do

If he gets surgery Buffalo could suspend him (not ideal), terminate the contract (not ideal), trade him (probably at $0.10 on the dollar) or welcome him back when healthy (burnt bridge?).

They’ve really (frank)ed this up.

Or what'll likely happen is Eichel will retire and then sue the Sabres like Babych did to the Flyers, screwing them over even more.

Favourite restaurant?

More importantly, did Drance find out what each player’s favourite colour is?

For the record… I like purple.

You’d think Buffalo would be an ok place to play (and live). Two hour drive from Toronto and a six hour drive to New York. But yet it’s one calamity after another. Those crazy hazy respectable days of Hasek, LaFontaine, Molgilny, and Andreychuk seem an eternity ago.

Been years and years ago but I think I went to Buffalo one day and I would not want to stay there. I would have been in early twenties (40 years ago) and it looked like a slums.

Growing up in NS I drove to Florida many times (much like folks on the west coast and California). I can tell you that most east coast American cities are scary. Baltimore has to be one of the biggest poopholes ever. New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, they all have city slums. You really get to see and experience them driving down Highway 1. As a young Canadian it was shocking to see.

I been to a lot also living in Que. I liked Vermont . Lots of good memories. NY seemed like the bigger the city the uglier except NYC.
