Hockey question does anyone think that Podkolzin will bump Pearson down the depth chart? I do in fact I think him with Garland and Bo is already a better line. That being said I also like the line of Pearson D!ckinson and Hoglander. They don't have a tonne of finnish but will make the other teams D work in their own end. - Nucknab23
Depends how the club starts. Bo loves Pearson on his line so...
But Garland and Podz will change the dynamic of the club big time.

That's the key for lines you need a finisher on it. So the Lotto line having 3 should be used in desperate situations only and allow JTM to play his preferred center role.
Podz can be deployed as a feeder on a scoring line or play a shut down role.
All the lines will be new this season so you'd think they'll keep some duos who had proven chemistry together. That being EP/BB and Pearson/Bo.

JTM on draws yes but we don't want him as a dedicated C.
New pieces are looking interesting. And projection a'la hockey card, (numbers' and stats) would be cool.. but they are also people. I have met a couple famous people, and they seemed to have ego's and "personalities".
If they gel,(and are signed) they might be pretty awesome..

What year? I suspect Podkolzin will struggle next year, he’s dealing with a lot of things, a language barrier, a culture barrier, a new league with the best players in the world, etc. If he were an elite level talent it’s probably less of an issue, but he’s not.
I hope he surprises like Hoglander did, but it would be a small miracle imo.

Absolutely not. Wish the best for Pod but I think fans will be very disappointed
Like we said the other night with the two additions to the forwards he very well could be third line . It is all good. - VANTEL
I don't think people caught on to Green's options play. Traditional set bottom and top won't be the 5v5 philosophy. That's because players like Hogs, Podz, JD, Sutter and JTM can be moved around into different role combos.

If those fans are expecting the next Bure then yes. Podz is plug and play he will thrive on any line. He's not a BB shooter who needs an EP. Nor a Sutter who blackholes a scoring line.

I have followed Pods since he was drafted. I am pretty sure I know what he is going to bring. He has been training bloody hard this offseason even today he was on the ice. He will put up modest points in the first year but he will track down the puck and get it to his line mates. How or where Green uses him we will find out soon.
I am pretty excited to see how Hoglander's second year goes. - VANTEL
He's another X factor. Garland most likely takes his RW role. They'll likely keep him away from Sutter. So that leaves EP, JD or JTM when he's playing center.

I understand you know about Podz's play style. But based on others shooting gallery takes they don't seem tuned into Green's options deployment. Podz is a piece like Hogs and JTM that make it possible.
