I think Zeeker still has about 3 real good years in him. Then the declination will begin. Not saying he'll completely fall off, but that's when we'll start to really see it.

I think you and I had discussed that Casey’s deal will have extended terms and a Lower AAV’s. The cap freeze for the next couple years dictated that.
In terms of Casey’s deal, he probs gets 4.5 to 5 for 3 years in the open market and Lou pays him basically the same in total for 6 years. In year 4,5 or 6 the cap should go up. Casey stays where he and his Family want to stay/play and the Islanders keep the core player/s they want. Key to this is the players want to be here and love playing for this organization now.
It doesn’t happen without Lou turning this shat show around.

I really like this deal for us. Zeeker won't need to play he has for us the whole contract. That whole line is going to be done sooner than later. He can easily become the third line centre ( so long as skating keeps up ).

The 3rd line center thing didn’t work four years ago I doubt it’ll work three years from now. Guy is not a 3rd line center imo. Love Cizikas and this deal makes sense right now with the low aav but I think we’ll be looking for a way to shed his salary rather them move him up the lineup four years from now which is fine we’re in win now mode. Also, I can see cizikas working within the organization when he’s no longer playing.

Sorokin's about $1m more than I'd have thought. But...Cizikas is about $1m less, so it all evens out. The others so far are all around what I was expecting/hoping for.
