my big concerns in no particular order
1. ford, doesn't look good
2. the punter, why they let the leg go I will never understand
3. backup tackle, esp if brown is not good to go
4. #2 cb never been a fan of levi and it looks like johnson did not take that step foreward
5. and this is the biggest ???? will edmunds take that step we have been waiting for, he looked lost yesterday - homiedclown
Good post.
Probably add a veteran o lineman after cutdowns.
I like Levi. Hopefully the pass rush helps all the db's
Edmund's is gonna get a big $ deal.
He's a mcbeane guy..... |

Edmund's is still a "young guy" just turned 23 in may.
Seems like we have a ton of talent, the defense could have a coaching issue....
Unlike the Sabres, it's hard to find a guy that's not likeable |

I think you see them add a vet OL after cut down
I wouldn’t worry about punting. The new guys strength is directional punts and inside the 10. With the way the offense looks I wouldn’t expect a ton of punts
I think Brown will be good to go.
CB2 won’t be as big of an issue if they can keep getting pressure from the front 4
Edmunds is my concern as well. Maybe having Star back will help.

Among GM circles, who are Brisson's tightest allies? It's easily Montreal's Marc Bergevin – a friend since they were teenagers – and Los Angeles' Rob Blake. Both of those teams have been connected to Eichel interest for a few months now. That bears watching.
Trading Eichel to the Habs would be difficult since they're in Buffalo's division and the Sabres' preference, all the way up to owner Terry Pegula, is to send Eichel to the Western Conference. But because the Sabres only play Atlantic Division clubs four times a season – and there's frankly no need to worry about a what-if playoff scenario for now – it stands to reason that Adams might soften his stance if the Habs offered the best deal.
(Boston won't have the assets for it and, as I've said previously, there's no chance the Sabres will "reward" Eichel for this standoff by trading him home.)
The process really is not working, to borrow some words from that ill-fated late-night statement last month from Eichel's former agents. The Sabres haven't changed their tune much since Eichel's first mention of the "disconnect" between captain and club in May.
The player has made the major move. Eichel already has his contract and money. But now he's decided he needs the big-name agent to help get his career back on track. Stay tuned.

Apparently he wasnt very good at taking direction. They would ask him to do directional kicks and then he'd go out there and just boom it. |

GREAT Post. Really appreciate this input.
It is a complicated issue.
I also think it is important to keep in mind that the Sabres medical team that is lead by a Dr with incredible expertise in this area; is hired and paid to protect the assets of the Sabres. Not that they would screw the player, but when it comes down to it, protecting the Sabres interests are what Pegula's pay for. I am sure as a human, the long-term post contract conditions are a consideration naturally, but the short-term contract period results trump those.
As I understand it, Fushion is the "gold standard" because of the a) high success in addressing the immediate issue and b) the length of time the procedure has been around.it is tried and true. It is a good surgery to address the immediate issue, but it also opens up additional issues down the road. That does not mean a new procedure is less effective, as the success rate for Replacement is high as well...of course, under the right conditions. The big difference is in the long-term studies given the relative recency of the procedure...but short and medium length studies for Replacement are proving very positive results including increased mobility...a critical factor for a world-class athlete. The long-term potential for additional Fusion surgeries to adjacent discs also increases, usually within 10-15 years...and then again potentially after that 2nd surgery additional surgeries may be required. For a man at age 25, that is a pretty frightening outlook.
From my reading on Replacement Surgery there is a significant difference between success rates between Cervical and Lumbar replacements..largely because the significantly greater weight load on the Lumbar Area which presents much different conditions and challenges...one should not mix the two in the same discussion when speaking to treatment in one area.
I continue to be baffled by those who brush this off using the simple argument of it is in the CBA. For Jack, it isn't that simple. - IonSabres
Yeah you are spot on with your research. Based on the doctor that spoke on the podcast I am fairly certain I know what implant he is thinking of getting and that one is more or less the market leader in clinical studies and paved the way for 2 level indications. Hard to blame jack for wanting to keep as much range of motion as possible. It is just hard to predict how his career will turn out with either procedure or the length of his career. |

All we can hope for is that what ever procedure is done that they work and he returns to form. |

I do believe it is a rag, although I haven't read it consistently for 5 or 6 years. Harrington is a complete wiener too, doesn't mean he doesn't have relevant info...he's just a douche.
Honestly, was there any new info or even a new perspective presented.
I didn't see it.

I guess the idea is that Brisson will convince KA to take less, or another GM to give more because he's a quasi GM/middle man extraordinaire |

I do not pay for the buffalo news, cancelled a few years ago. Sometimes when you go in thru Twitter, you get a few more free articles.....
I think it's funny you call it a rag. 🙂
So , the sam trade senario you purposed was a little too specific. After January.... I appreciate your effort.
How about we keep it simple.
Risto x 2 points - I win
Sam straight points - you win
So 35 points by risto ( bottom pairing d) (should have protected will borgen)
Is equivalent to 70 points by sam (power forward, ) (tough, because he tips puck around the net) ( trade value was not based on his performance, but his position and contract status)
We tie - we push
1🍺 or $5.00 if we can't meet within a reasonable time frame. |

those odds favor risto IMO
it should be risto points times 1.7
that would make a 40 point season for risto equate to 68 points for the skunk
which is about where I see each getting in a full season |

I'm not sure risto gets more than 35 points, he's a DEFENSEman. Their scoring really doesn't count anyways. Maybe deployed in a defensive role☝️
Sam should get 70 right? I thought the hockeybuzz projection was (70 - 75 points) |

It's an interesting senario.
Risto probably wont be getting the ice time he received while in buffalo. I'm also not sure how he will be deployed. Seems like he's gonna be a #3 and maybe yandle takes some of the pp minutes? Yandels kinda useless otherwise. Risto could be added for his hitting.
Sam could play with barkov at 1RW. I'd say most likely and get pp1 minutes. Maybe he gets 2c time, but I doubt it. Florida's most likely looking at sam as a good compliment to a superstar center.
Tough call. Its more of a friendly wager with my uncle, not:
I really think I'll win..... |
