i just now saw it in ek's thread so i don't know all the details but this offer sheet seems kinda stupid to me. the fact that it's revenge makes it seem even dumber. and the $20 thing makes it seem kind of pathetic.

I love going to the movies, missed it a lot during the pandemic so yeah, going quite often these days and loving it

Think the blog was still up in an acceptable time as well all things considered

they lost their best defenseman for nothing, have no goalies and will now enjoy KK at 6M. yikes

and about KK, on récolte ce que l'on sème, that kind of move from the canes was definitely to be expected...it sucks because it complicates things at center, while they weren't necessarily very solid at that position to begin with. gonna be interesting to see if MB can pull the trigger for a top C, or if they simply go with the guys that are left.

Went to see Respect today, movie about Aretha Franklin and saw Stillwater a couple of weeks ago, both very different but very good. Also enjoyed Black Widow, the play of Scarlett Johanson and Florence Pugh really worked well.

I'm kinda surprised at the 6M, considering how cheap the canes have been lately in terms of dishing out contracts (except for the recent Svechnikov deal) , but it's just for one year so I guess it makes sense. we certainly can't blame KK for accepting the offer lol.

Yeah this situation (frank)ing sucks, even if I think the Canes are screwing themselves with this deal. At least the amount for Aho was sensible, this amount is idiotic. Never even cracked 15 goals... Anyway it's done now. KK was worth more than a 1 and 3, but not with that horrible contract situation. Let Carolina surrender their picks to us and screw themselves with a bad contract.

it's a rather generous offer but I guess that's kind of the point behind Waddell's intention of trying to screw Bergevin over. and besides it's only for a year, so it isn't that turrible either if you have the cap space.

It's not just the fact it's a year, it's the fact that forces the qualifying offer to be the same, so if he plays like poop, Carolina either qualifies him for that garbage deal again or loses a 1rst and 3rd for a year of garbage. Or we take on the problem and don't get the picks. The choice is clear imo. I think KK could potentially become good down the line, but taking on this problem isn't worth it imo.
