These have nothing to do with Eichel.
Skinner put us over a barrel by what, scoring 40 goals? - Powerslave
Skinners was more about us caving. Giving him a 9M contract was us giving in to bad terms again.
RoR is the direct comparable, where a player who was under contract wanted out, we sold cheap and he went on to be wildly successful. I see Jack's trajectory being similar. Hopefully I'm wrong. |

You're not going to win a Jack eichel trade ever, but showing he's healthy will make the return better. |

He'll be back. Vested vet, doesn't have to clear waivers. Probably a handshake deal to bring him back after a few are placed on IR. |

Ugh....................... Players don't write there own contract, that is between the agents and the GM and ultimately it is on our GM.
I never, Never blame a player for signing a contract. - hehateme
I'm not blaming the player, I don't think Power was either. I was just saying with Skinner that we caved to a very high priced contract instead of doing what's best for the franchise and letting him walk. The blame is solely with the franchise, Skinner should take 30m if he can get it. |

If the surgery is deemed successful, his value ups slightly. He really needs to play for this to be the case and I just don't see that happening, personally. |

All he has to do is keep his mouth shut and play hockey. Period. Do that, and we'll get you out of here, if that's what you want. He may have gotten similar advice from the new agent. |

I think he'll play for the Sabres, but even if he doesn't, he'll play for the US which will work almost as well |

All he has to do is what he hasn't been able to do thus far haha. I'm just giving you a hard time, but IMO he's already traded if he hadn't pulled these stunts.
I mean I hope you guys are right, you usually are. I'm worried now lol. |

Absolutely
The new agent is a fresh start. Fresh voice of reason...
Shut up, prove your healthy, we'll help you find a suitable team... not Winnipeg or Arizona.... |

The idea of being here until the end of season has to be a bitter pill for him.

If he is ready near the Olympics, would be better he played there instead of with Sabres. Much better talent, which should elevate his game and reassure the bidders. Lots of if’s and possibility he gets traded before then anyway. |

He was due for some humble pie I think but I'll also say that if him switching agents is due to what many have already brought up (attempt to get both sides towards a quasi-reconciliation, in order to get him into a new situation and fix the bad PR around him) it was a smart move IMO.
Even if it's purely from the "thinking about Jack Eichel" standpoint, since I doubt he gives two (frank)s what the Sabres get in return. Makes a lot of sense if that big time agent could make him see the reason in helping the Sabres help him. |

Very true. Lot of egg on KA's face, if this is accurate.

What's the over under on the number of seasons it takes for Dahlin to request a trade? 2? |

22 games. He obviously hates it here. Maybe once he signs his contract, I'll say 33 games. |

Both sides have been too concerned with the optics for too long. It looks like they're moving past that in order get Eichel out of here and maximize the return |

His paycheck will help ease his pain, I'm sure. |
