Teams have known about Eichel the person for a long time. Injury or not, JS Dea is still exposing him as a bad leader.

Perhaps if Eichel wasn't injured, the conversation would have never arisen. We don't know where we'd be today without injury. If the rumors would still be strong that they're trying to trade him, or if it was simply 'Eichel is done in Buffalo" rumors.

There was an issue at one of the camps where Dea tried getting dressed in the main locker room and Eichel was giving him crap for it. From there on out Dea was not a fan.

Teams already knew he wanted out as well, as they knew that last offseason as well.

NHL is a brotherhood. It's rare to see guys talking poop about one another. One would have to think Dea has a chip to expose Eichel like that. Knowing that story (if indeed true), Dea went easy on him.
