Somebody was talking about CB depth. Looking at Bills final roster, they are really thin there. Saw Bears released Desmond Trufant. He sounds like he is having a tough time dealing with dad’s death so might not be interested in playing this year. If he is, could be this year’s Josh Norman. It’s super well known what the 3ER thinks of DB’s from the DB Factory. Every one of them lived up to their draft status.

That's not surprising, and also not the first time...

So I’m sure it’s been written in an article or two:

If Eichel gets the surgery he wants, what’s the punishment?

I’m guessing the Sabres wouldn’t want to void his contract - so what’s the downside?

Thanks

The downside for Eichel is he would actually need to play for the Sabres again? 😅

The downside of Jack eichel doing anything he wants isn't so much about the Sabres voiding his contract. It's about breaking nhlpa rules and they throw him out of the league never to play again in the NHL. So upside would be he doesn't have to play for buffalo, downside is he can't play for the other 31 teams either ever again. So I guess his options would be to take the rumored Russian contract from Kirill kaprizov.

Interesting in that Bergevin is on the clock with kotekianmi (spelling)… maybe seeing if picks he gets might sway Adams in a package?

The picks alone won't move the needle for Adams, Bergevin known's it.

They won't move either, Bergevin thinks he can get over on Adams. Won't work.

Yeah I hope Adams holds firm with any team, Jack is going to cost you a top center prospect, your 22 first, plus and maybe plus.

I’ll go 3 solid pieces vs 4.

Now successful surgery and an solid Olympic showing, price goes back up.

Rather amazing to me that no other "insider" has substantiated the rumor of Surgery in Jack's near future. It is still rather recent, and the Sabres have locked down information leaks so it could take a bit...but I would have expected someone to have at least some news about it one way or another.
Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer.

It was interesting back reading earlier about whether this is a win for the Sabres/Adams or did he get bent over. Also the debate whether it is good for the Sabres.

I have maintained the Sabres should let Jack have his surgery in an effort to get him back to playing shape such that the question of his health can be lifted off the table as a bargaining chip to reduce his value. Whether it is Replacement or Fushion is inconsequential to that end IMO...assuming success. Adam's can then negotiate aggressively without having to deal with issues that reduce value. I have to believe it is all a good thing.

Perhaps this delay is a good thing as well...any draft pick received for the '22 season should be more valuable given the better draft class.

If the rumour proves true..it is good news for the Sabres and for fans.
Now ship the wiener out west, or make the East pay a significant surcharge.

Could you imagine this blog with meltdown and orange man bad posts if the events over the last several months were unfolding under Trump's reign!
But narry a cricket.
Makes me sick to see the absolute multiple disasters going forward for the next 3-1/3 years.

Bill's season is going to be fun!
Still waiting for Beaner to pull a rabbit out of the hat to fortify the Defensive backfield Nickle back specifically, maybe even a depth OT. I don't think those positions got stronger and they were weak to begin with. The 2 OT's they drafted aren't ready yet...need a solid year of development.

I don't follow the other teams as much as I used to several years ago...
If they can play, do it.

The defensive backfield has challenges when opposing teams have a gunslinger who can hit quick strikes ... Bill's soft underbelly was ex

I hope the pass rush improves enough to be a major factor.
