I don't recall seeing anyone calling hin a bust. but you'll have to agree that for a 3rd overall... he is disappointing, so far. can the Habs wait so he takes a few steps? sure! but not at 6M per. not with the attitude he showed and the season he had.

did I miss anything concerning something he said or did to lead people to believe he has a poor attitude and work ethic?

he should have spent the entire 2021 season in the AHL. he had a few good games in the bubble and everyone thought he had turned a corner.
- DoubleDown

yup, but sadly there was a sense of urgency at center, kind of like right now...

I'll probably get some stuff thrown at me for this, but despite the "experience" brought to young players, I still believe the Habs would have had more benefits coming from losing to Pittsburgh in the bubble.

I didn't like his 4 fingers after scoring a goal. and when your coach says after the exit interview kk will have to take BIG steps.... yeah. something is wrong. in comparison, DD didn't talk like that about Evans or other kids.

Dvorak is 25yrs old, not like he is 30+yrs old.
- Symba007

Dvorak? Kk?

Does not move the needle or make this team any good, let alone a playoff team.

If you are gonna do something impactful, then do it.

Otherwise, just another year of throwing away picks and trading prospect to fill gaps in the line up and 5 years from now, in the same place.

There's no knock on KK from me, it's the contract..

Agree.

But the knock on matching is the poor return.

im not convinced this actually happened. i think it's far more likely that we are in the matrix and this was a glitch that has now sorted itself out.

what poor return?!? do you expect kk to get a better package (a 1st and 3rd) on the trade market?

I think that's a bit of a stretch but ok...

and if DD mentioned he needed to take big steps, it might be an indication that he knows he has the potential to be much better, as opposed to younger guys with a lower ceiling.

I think Suzuki is the real deal, and I don't think not having this playoffs bubble experience of 6 more games would have been that much of speed bump to his developpement.

Pretty sure Evans met the expectations the team had for him last year.

While expectations for KK are bigger.

And rightfully so.

I was saying that as well, but was told that these games were HUGE for KK and Suzuki's development.
