I've been with my gf now into double digit years and I've learned there are acceptable lies and unacceptable lies. Coffee lies are acceptable to 99.9% of the world...just not sure the nut isn't in the 0.1% group - Takemedrunkimhome
mr.peanut is a special brEEd but i have learned how to deal with him effectively over the years.
you just have to hug him every once in a while. he likes that. |

oh come on. his linemates were constantly shifting around partly because his lines were mostly ineffective outside of a game here or there. i accept the argument that he's young and he's still a good 2-3 years away from what he will ultimately become but this argument that he's been hard done by the team is garbage. - DoubleDown
I'm not saying he's been hard done by the team, but it's a fact he has lacked stability big time.
He's the only forward on the team who's most common teamate on the ice was a defenseman.
Suzuki (who's without a doubt a better player right now) had stretches of bad games during the season as well but he wasn't sent up and down the lineup and eventually found his way. At around halfway through the season, both players had a very similar production (something like 3-4 points apart).
Point is, I don't think the team has been terrible with him, but I do think he's aware of what I just mentioned and wishes he'd be trusted more.... something that was supposed to happen in the coming season. (partly by lack of better options but still) |

Well there's the scenario where the Habs match and KK has a great season.
That would be a win in my book.

I think KK hating the CH is overblown. All of this based on the fact he accepted the offer sheet, seriously who would turn down 6,1 millions dollars?
Aho accepted Montreal's offer yet he stills plays for Carolina, loves the organisation and is appreciated by his teamates

i don't think it's overblown. i think if the relationship between the team and player was bad or toxic before the OS, then it definitely plays a factor in Montreal's decision. you don't match this offer unless you love and believe in the player.

Yeah, like maybe he's a bit frustrated with the Habs negotiating tactics, but who says no to a huge overpayment like that? You'd have to be nuts not to sign it. |

Yeah but none of us actually knows what the relationship between the player and the team is.
I believe in KK.

I believe in money...it's tangible.
Everything else in this situation, as I've said, is speculation. And that's from somebody who speculates Kotkaniemi wants out but couldn't make an honest argument that's valid as to why outside of massive assumptions |

I don't put Lebust on them if the crowd was screaming his name to draft him, but let's replace him with Beaulieu.
I'm fine with a clean out from top to bottom. |
