Maybe for our next GM we could target someone who is not an ex player with a high school diploma. - Monkey

something tells me his replacement might not be this magical GM that everyone is waiting for. not saying Bergevin is perfect, but if you look across the league there aren't that many "great" GMs. - Pat1993
Julien Brisebois, he may want to come back and bring the cup back to his home province |

I'm hesitant to jump on the our scout is poop bandwagon, but if nothing else Timmins hasn't been phenomenal for an organization with as much leeway as we have to pay for top notch scouts. It'd be a "great" gm move to can him and whoever else is responsible for our poopty first round drafting. |

this, 100%. Timmins' replacement is as crucial if not more than the next GM, that's who we should be talking about first and foremost.

Fair enough.
But the GMs he has worked with have not fired him or stopped him from making those picks.

Hence why any new gm who throws him out the door is making a great first impression. He's had some decent picks like Gallagher, Subban, Pacioretty, McDonagh but the list of first round busts is endless. Juulsen, Chuck, Tinordi, Beaulieu, (I'd argue KK at this point, who are we kidding, Galchenyuk was better at the same age, that s pretty damn sad), McCaron etc. |
