Let me hear your argument against Maroon? How about Bob Bourne? 4 Cups, Masterton winner, Selke consideration worthy. Neither a great goal scorer. - Minnyhock
And neither will get into the HoF. I'm not sure what qualifies a player to get in, but the numbers for both Maroon & Bourne I don't think are close to getting there. Just like Tonelli isn't HoF worthy, in my opinion. |

Against??????? I’m for these guys, i want to see more pure Hockey / Team players get into the HOF, guys that have made an impact without all the points. |

Isles are where old tired Devus go to finish making money...
Palmieri -Zajac -Parise -Greene - Schneider .
all did not fit in with NJD youth movement .
Palmieri still has value but thats it . Signing 30-35 yr olds to 5 year deals is just bad business in todays NHL . and what NJD in the predicament they are currently in. - thechezman
you do realize that Lou did not offer nor sign any of the aforementioned players to a five (5) year deal.
Palmieri is 4 years at 5 mil for a guys that puts 20 goals a year in is good.
Zajac will be a league min with bonuses
Parise will be league min with bonuses
Greene and Schneider not killing isles either.
For the devils in their current state the above guys are not the right guys. With Isles being as close as they are. These are good moves.

Yes, I was being facetious. I can’t explain it, but Bourne was my favorite Islander on those Cup teams.

Ok! Maroon is in! My favorite Bourne is in! Now let’s cut to the chase. I want to establish the floor. Brad Dalgarno. HOF or not?

Toews has won:
3 Stanley Cups
2 Olympic Golds
2 IIHF World Junior Golds
1 IIHF World Championship
1 Selke
1 Conn Smythe
Both were/are great players, but Toews has simply accomplished more. - Wildschwein
And being a bigger piece and Captain of the Hawks vs JT being a lower piece of The Isles I totally agree with you Schwein. |

Don't you love when outsiders come in here, read one post (which was sarcasm) and assume we all think the same way? - Isleshockeyman
Of course especially my posts which are definitely not part of the normal narrative here. |

I think my favorite Richard Park moment was when he scored a short-handed goal for the Isles when the opponent (possibly the Rangers?) had a 5 on 3. A pretty rare occurrence. Definitely HOF material.
As long as we're naming our favorite Italian-Canadian players who belong in the HOF, I'll go with Mike Peca. 2-time Selke winner, and 2-time Stanley Cup finalist. Plus, Olympic goal medalist.
Also, where the hell is mdw? Did his girlfriend get stuck in the doorway again? |

I actually think I remember that. From what I understand mdw’s new boyfriend is jelly of the attention he pays everyone on hockeybuzz. |

I was wrong about the opponent. It was the Pens.

He played a lot of time on the wing for us but he’s a center. He’s kind of like an Asian Pageau. - Cptmjl

OK, I wasn't wrong. Park scored a shorty, 3 on 5 against the Rangers, too, as I remembered. Go to the 10:12 mark, unless you want to watch every 3 on 5 shorty of the past several decades.
Richard Park is probably one of the few players in NHL history to have accomplished that feat TWICE! |

That’s an amazing thing to do at the NHL level. When I was a kid, I watched my high school team score 2 3 on 5 goals in a game. |
