In the first 35 games of the season, he had 2 games with Eichel, the rest of the time it was with: Lazar, Sheahan, and Mittelstadt. Looks like about 16 of the last 20 games of the season he was with Reinhart and Olofsson.
...just to put perspective on things. - stashu
There were two years of his fall from grace and dumbfoundedly still loved by people like you. Just to put some perspective on things. He was given the chance to play with Reinhart and Olofsson so where is the damned to the 4th line to eternity? He ended up in the 4th line. Oh well, maybe this year his psychological damage will have been treated by sports psychologists and he will figure skate on edge and not feel on edge so much.

I've not posted here in I think 4 years until recently when Hank became blogger, you're so all knowing that you know my feelings on Skinner from me pointing out something factual to offset what you write to make it sound like he had such amazing top line time with Eichel.
Kaiser, bf19 and stashu all in the same blog. I'm a pretty happy guy right now, the old guard coming out to fight for what's right. I like it a lot. - QuinnFan
I've been chatting with a bunch of the guys elsewhere for years now. Here to help pump up the Baller once in a while.

Relax Francis, use facts to argue, not just hate. - stashu
Exactly, if we can make him cheap, he will be worth something to a contender. Maybe even a late 1st if the market is a seller's one unlike this summer.
He isn't completely useless, I'll take his PP production, but paying 6M+ for a PP specialist is a good way to ensure we stay at the bottom. - QuinnFan

You bolstered my point I said he didn't play all 4th line minutes and was still a dud and thank you very much for spending the time for getting the exact minutes.
The relax Francis thinger is so old and tired. I think you can do better than that, simpletons use that.
Regarding hate, if the opposite opinion of a faltering 9 million dollar player that is bolstered by facts, his stats, is hate but it just goes against the common narrative of what many want to believe in the Buffalo community is hate then so be it. There is quite a bit of hate on here then and I don't see you addressing that numbers guy, just selectively choosing what you want to believe is hate.

So drivel followed by nothing. Gotcha, thanks, and goodbye. Zero interest in someone who will post making all things look equal and then attack instead of admitting their use of bias.

We all have bias as do you but I gave Skinner a chance and looked at him critically and I do not feel the need to hang on to a dud for some unequivocal reason except to support the blogger or to support past opinions that no longer are true.

he gets paid after next season one way or another - homiedclown
Agreed. I guess someone could argue he ends up in the 5m range and it isn't that bad. I look at Hoffman at 4.5m and wonder what we're thinking. Only cheap option is 1 year QO at 3.7M??? (Luni help!).

His qualifying offer is $3.25M.
He's a UFA after the 22-23 season, as Homie pointed out.

If you do not feel the need to hang on to a dud, what's your solution?
Easton Hockey went down hill when they attempted to make equipment other than sticks.
Their skates were awful and they lost a ton of money on them. - Stripes77
I love their skates! Now granted I can’t skate worth a damn. But I went from a CCM jetspeed to a mako and it was like going from a dump truck to a lotus. I just felt so much more response and comfort In the makos. Again, I can’t skate for poop. But I have fun out there
Agreed on Skinner being overpaid. The question is do you bury him on the depth chart or do you try to put him in a position to succeed? There's no rewriting the contract.
Stuck for 5 years...
Also I probably didn't score 20 goals in my career. I had the skating of Matt Moulson and the size of Brian Gionta. - Hank Balling
