I know you're joking considering where the Sabres will be picking the next 2 seasons. - kingcong39
No.
The context was that Dahlin was OS'd for 4 years.
At the end of Year 3, which is July 1st after the '24 Draft in June; the Sabres extend for 8 years which takes effect after he completed the initial 4 year OS term...getting 12 years out of Dahlin.
And just like The Canes did, wait until late in the offseason of '24 to OS, thereby making trades for that club to relieve Cap space exceedingly difficult.
Those Draft picks the Sabres owe, they would start in '25 Draft. I would hope by then this team has its'collective poop together. [Checks the last 10 years]..or maybe not |

Is it odd that Shawn Simpson had that piece of info on Eichel and not Friedman (who has become the media mouthpiece for Eichel with the back doctor story, and then broke the agent switch story)?
If Eichel wanted that info out there I think it goes through Friedman. - Hank Balling
Maybe Brisson isnt a big fan of Elliot?
IDK. |

I'm thinking in terms of structuring the deal in such a way that the offer sheet AAV is higher then the actual AAV if the Sabres were to match, when you factor in the Sabres desire to trade Eichel and take as little cap back as possible. - kingcong39

Actually, it goes back farther than that when the black guy was in office. When the white guy beat the raging biotch in 2016 all was right with the world and the chest thumping began in earnest. You brought politics into this thread with the $10k bet. Own it. - Michael Pachla
It’s more convenient for him to just blame me

EK: "So, as promised, I have been working on an Eichel Update, and trying to get allowed to go on the record with this one..,.and I finally can!
Over the last week, there have been discussions involving the Sabres and Rangers, of an Eichel deal that would send Alexis Lafrenière as part of the package back to Buffalo.
As my source notes, " This is a game-changer and really will make Vegas have to step up if they want to fulfill their promise to their owner that they could get Eichel if they moved MAF."
Stay tuned." |

The one thing I do like is if its true is it forces other teams to pay up...I really don't want Eichel in New York |

A game changer, hopefully it puts some pressure on Vegas or Calgary. |

Alex Tuch, Reilly Smith, Krebs and a lotto protected 1st works cashwise and there are not any trade clause problems
Tuch is coincidentally out until January when Eichel would return anyway so that's not a problem for Vegas |

Jump Around at Wisconsin and Enter Sandman at Virginia Tech gave me goose bumps...it's a good thing the Bills don't have anything like that or the entire upper deck would crumble next Sunday...

College traditions are awesome

I went to a Michigan game in Ann Arbor; worked the field for a Wisconsin game but Soldier Field and another Iowa at Soldier. I saw Russell Wilson play up close and had no idea who he was and saw him fling it long and thought man that guy has an NFL arm.

Yeah, the Mid conferences play their big games against the big conferences in weeks 1-3 to make money and the big conferences can warm up, some schools go right at and play big school to big school, probably for TV ratings for the networks. They will have some easy-win schools somewhere in the schedule though.
