The most underachieving player in Buffalo sports history is ranked 23rd in the league in 5 on 5 goals since 2018-19
His biggest crime is having the worst coach in NHL history hating him.
And before people try and take away his 40 goal season, he still ranks 109th in 5 on 5 goals in these two below average seasons. Which is second line level
He’s massively overpaid and still good - sbroads24
Player A: 112 games
Last 2 seasons 21 goals and 16 assist combined. 37 p
Player B:110 games
Last 2 seasons 33 goals and 41 assists. 74 p
Player A is making 3 times what player B is making.
He is still good.
Player B has twice as many points on the same team as player A.
He's not good .
You're too much 24. Broken record of ridiculous opinions.

Paul Cyr - Powerslave
Paul Cyr didn't take the Sabres to the bank and be expected to definitely achieve and have people forgive the Hell out of him. 8th or 9th whatever picks fail all the time.

And you’re the broken record of leaving important information out
One of these players played on line 1 and top PP time consistently despite barely ever scoring with Eichel or at EV
The other one scored like an elite player and put up 40 goals on line 1 and with Eichel.
Olofsson is a bad first liner. Really bad. Good third liner though |

He is underachieving. The most underachieving ever is a tad hyperbolic.
He has one truly bad season, one mediocre to decent, one fantastic.
If he has another terrible season it’s a discussion - sbroads24
I'm trying to figure out which season was mediocre to decent?
59 games 14 goals 9 assists 10 million $
53 games 7 goals 7 assists 10 million $
😀😀😀
Both are a terrible embarrassment to the franchise, skimmer and you....
Great28 12 goals and 7 assists the same year as skinner's decent season ☝️

What you see is what you get with Olofsson, you can keep him around as a cheap option for the dark days ahead. Think most playoff teams would shy away from wasting too much cap space and a roster spot on a one dimensional player, so doubt he'd garner a great return either way. |

I remember him being with Coyle on L3 and I thought Coyle was the center. Regardless, Mojo is not and was not a 2C |

I think many of you tossing out names of the greatest failed Buffalo sports players are forgetting the forgiven part. There has never been a player who has stolen money from the team, not produced, and had people like posters on here forgive the Hell out of a player for his underachievement. He might win all around but never has a player been so forgiven. That would be a great blog Hank. |

Well for one he makes 9 mil. Unless for some reason you care about his personal salary and not his cap hit towards the team
I know being factually incorrect is a habit you can’t shake but at least put some more effort into it |

MOJO was so bad he was on the Sabres #1 PP because he could skate and pass, control the puck. He was not bad, and he played center beginning in 2009. He was so bad the Sabres got Stahl for them who they thought was going to be their 2nd line center. He had some abilities, not a star, not great but not bad as the narrative states and you repeat. He is getting old now, has averaged just over 40 pts a year. Bad?
Now, I knew the apologist would come out because you and they just can't help yourselves you have draped yourselves around a loser and you have to find excuses for him now. - GilPerreault11
I mean, if your argument is that he wasn't as bad as some of the other players on the Sabres, I don't know if that's a good argument. If he was better he wouldn't have signed a one year 1.5M contract with an expansion team. Maybe calling him "bad" was an oversell, but he wasn't good. This really doesn't have much to do with Skinner or being an "apologist" more calling Mojo a not real good hockey player in Buffalo, then Minnesota, and now Seattle. 3LW sure. #2 Center? Never was. Take it or don't, I don't care. |

I view any first rounder who didn't at least have a respectable career, but at the same time managed to hang around the league for a bit, as an underachiever.

Mike Hoffman is sought after year after year.
Olofsson should get a second rounder at the deadline. If we retain 50% maybe we can squeeze a first rounder |

When your nitpicking whether I'm implying his personal salary or cap hit over 1 million $.
You've lost another debate ☝️
Curious what a really bad 1st liner puts up #'s wise next season. Just waiting for another bad take... step up 24
