the guy also had 109 pts in 66 games with the London Knights in 2014-15, and 121 pts in 59 games in 2015-16, are these kinds of stats that common?

depends what you're looking for Pat.
if you want a winning team, he's not the answer to play behind Suzuki. said it multiple times. decent player, but not much of an upgrade over kk. imho |

well, probably more impressive than have Evans or Perreault as a 2nd C |

Losing KK is making me sad.
Replacing him with Dvorak is making me sadder. |

true. like i said, depends what you're looking for. if they want to win... it will take more than Dvorak. if they want to fight and try to survive... he's perfect.

Having Knutnesov at almost $8MM a season is also not an answer neither but either way they also need a puck moving d |

when you'll see him on his ass every other shifts in CAR you'll get over it.

I don't think so.
Even if KK turns into a complete flop (which I don't think will be the case), it won't make me less sad that another 3rd overall pick by our team ended up giving us no star player at all.

is Dvorak a defensive liability? I haven't seen him play that much, so perhaps I'm missing something.
but yeah for me the absolute worst-case scenario would be that KK flourishes in Carolina and becomes the young center we were hoping for... that would sting like a (frank)ing female dog.

yeah CAR weren't really in need of a center, which makes it even more obvious Waddell just wanted to (frank) around with Bergevin... but wherever he plays if he produces it's gonna suck to hear as a habs fan

they're the ones (frank)ed by this offersheet. pretty sure they expected MB to match.
they're now 1.5M over the cap |

Well the pressure remains on KK and now them.
If he has another subpar year.... he could very well find himself as a free agent.

about Timmins and drafting in general, I was wondering, do GMs across the league have veto power over their scouts and director of scouting when it comes to the draft?

Well the GM is the boss.
So at the end of the day, what he says goes.
Timmins got shafted a few times in his career.

I read comments saying it was a "brilliant move by the Canes" but I don't really see it either to be honest, all things considered.
