If one of the 1st rounders is top ten then Arizona gets the worst pick of the 2. Good Trade!
- DonCherries

Just a further addition.

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired forward Christian Dvorak from the Arizona Coyotes for a first and second-round draft pick.

The Coyotes will receive the better of either Montreal's or Carolina's first-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft along with the Canadiens' second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. If either the Canadiens or Hurricanes first-round pick are top 10 picks in the 2022 NHL Draft, Montreal will send the worse of the two picks.

Bergie is desperate ... a first and second for an overpaid ($4.5 million/season) third line centre.

He had to do something but I had to be done otherwise we miss the playoffs before we even start. Even now I still have my doubts
- habs88888

I agree he had to do "something", but acquiring another overpriced marginal player, particularly a questionable centreman who can't win faceoffs is not the something anyone but the Atlantic Division opponents hoped for.

There was a wasted opportunity to improve the team. Instead that let the Coyotes shed a bad contract.

I have a feeling our offense will be pretty good next season, the question now is if we can keep pucks out of our net

And this is how to make bad even worse... Dvorak will never be more than a 3C.

This turn of events was a colossal error by the franchise, exemplifying terrible asset management.

This is the Tyler Seguin trade to Boston level of stupid.

i gotta say, i really like kk. was really impressed by what he showed the last 2 playoffs despite not being given a fair shot.

Once he fills out his frame and cleans himself around the edges he's gonna be a gem. I know the canes are finally giving him the chance he deserves.

Dvorak is suitable second line pivot. Good on the dot with decent hands. Could’ve done a lot worse.

Bergevin paid too much to get him, but what choice did he have.

He will be better than KK in the short run......but, KK will pass him up in 2 years.

I dont think he paid too much. That is what a decent second line centre is worth.
He logged most minutes of any forward. Capable of playing against the other teams best line. Good in the faceoff circle. I like the addition. Much better than KK who was a headache on the ice and wasnt even dressed in part of playoffs

I heard give KK 2-3 years. You will see…
Well 3 years later, he is still a project at best.
I doubt he will ever be more than a 2nd centre that cant play defensively and cant win faceoffs

I liked KK, but not at 6M. Good luck to him.

Habs still have a first round pick in 2022 and they got a 25 years old C who should help right away.

They have some good wingers so I think they could have a good season. Petry was already better than Weber in my opinion.
