Business at the Garden must not be great. I got these guys cold calling me like twice a week about ticket packages for the Rangers.

Now, if you had read the post I was responding to, rangerdanger said why sell youself short on dreaming for Krejci. To which I respond Ill always dream for Barkov. WTF is wrong with that?

Are you a robot? Do you not have dreams and aspirations of which you know youll probably never get, but still yet wonder how nice it would be? Or are you a cold-hearted cynic that lives life in a rigid straight line from birth to grave?

- aecliptic

Definitely not cold hearted, im a 52 yr old adult who lives in reality, Im sorry I just cant dream of getting Barkov when I know he probably will resign in Fla.

If you really want to dream, dream of getting Mcdavid, Mathews and a side dish Mackinnon.

Since you say live in reality, are you saying that every year, every team that doesn't win it have had a failure of a season?
You have dodged this question a number of times, but what would it take for you to call this season a success for the Rangers?
You seem to think we are far from being a contender, so what are your hopes for this year?

It's simple Tony he wants to win the cup without making any of the moves to help get us there. Not sure what you aren't understanding here...

so his old coach gets hired, and they then trade a 3rd round pick for him, but that's just coincidental in your mind?

he's gonna dress every night, not fight Tom Wilson and then get healthy scratched for 5 straight

Vegas fired Gallant on January 15th, 2020 and Reaves was playing regularly

not sure how that's 3 years ago, but maybe you are using that new math

I’m ready for some Rangers hockey. Excited to see the kids perform. I think Laf is going to break out and be the stud we always hope to have. Early predictions.

Laf 20 goals and 40 assists

Kakko 25 goals 25 assists

Fox wins back to back Norris.

Mika resigns for 7 years at 8 mill per limited NTC

Rangers trade for Eichel at the trade deadline as the situation deteriorates even more.

I dont remember being asked this question before but I will answer it now. Well if your goal is to make the playoffs or to win the Cup, then yes the season was a team failure. Yes some players had a good season but the team failed. Would you say a team like Colorado had a successful season? Vegas? The Rangers had low expectations the last few years, well at least for the level headed, but someone thought they were failing and some heads rolled. Im sorry but I see it as if we dont win the Cup, season was a failure, thats the goal. So if you dont win, you failed. Its life.

I liked the addition of the bottom 6, hated Reaves, worse yet extending him, we will see what happens, will definitely bring some excitement to the Washington games, I just hope Wilson has the balls to drop em. Just because Reaves is there, he wont be a deterrent. I would have loved a young 2c but that isnt going to happen, Huge roster turnover again, will take time to find chemistry, but I hope to make the playoffs, I think Cup contenders is 2-3 years, so I dont think it as a long ways away.

Ryan Reaves hits everything he sees, I don't think you understand that

in 37 games last year Reaves only had 27 PIMs

but he had 141 hits

and then another 70 hits in 12 post season games

hitting machine

and so is Sammy Blais, and so is Barclay Goodrow

its all part of being a team much tougher to play against

I think you might be overestimating any negative impacts from his play.
This is just my opinion of course, because as you say, we will see. But, we're talking about a 4th liner who will see about 8-10 shifts a game. He has also had more takeaways than giveaways every single season of his career. So, he seems to know what kind of player he is and not get too cute.
I'm not saying he is all upside, all the time. But, I think his overall impact on the ice will be favourable.

Did us trading two 2nds for Fox also not work out because we haven’t won the Cup?
