I honest like the idea of signing Chara for a year. It would be an addition without subtraction and it would give Lou more time to work on a long term plan on bringing in another play later in the season.

His cap hit and term are in the Yotes favor. Chychrun looks like the guy they want to build around. It would take an overpay to get him.

No. They just re-signed him last year to an 8 year deal. He's sort of the centerpiece of their rebuild. Not to mention, as Chiefs said, he makes $8m a year.
