Not homemade. I grew up on homemade perogi and halupki, and have made them both in the past. These store made cabbage rolls I had were totally legit. - Robert's Plant
Fair assessment. I watched plenty of Jets games last season, and Thompson was easily the worst Jet on the ice. Hopefully he is a healthy scratch, because finding a job day 1 of free agency was a big surprise. No clue how the guy has made almost 15M through a career when he doesn't fight, score, or posses any good defensive stats. Luckily for Flyers fans, he won't be on the roster unless they hit a string of injuries. - bikeguy99
Who cares if he doesn't fight. A player like Thompson is never going to have good stats. He's a defensive PK 4th line center.
Meh six weeks from the surgery, not six weeks in to the season from what I can tell. He may just miss camp and a game or two at worse. - MBFlyerfan
Even so.. he won't be back at 100% for a while. Malkin is also skates to miss some early games. I don't think Pitt is strong enough to fight for a spot with those 2 being hurt.
Watching Pitt suffer in any way is always warming to my heart

Haha so true. I don't count them out as they always seem to at least come through to make the dance. It'll be interesting to see how Hexy handles this. I can't imagine that they want to jettison more picks prospects for one last run when they only seem capable of being a playoff team/first round exit. I'd be flipping Malkin and Letang before they have zero value. That's the worst case scenario, but then again they are probably expecting the league to once again gift them a generational talent or 2.
August, early Sept doldrums. I'm just waiting for training camp to open. Unless you want to talk about Mac Jones :-) - jd250
I think he is going to be pretty solid. Getting rid of Cam was the right move for the team because it was like ripping off the training wheels...the team has to commit to a direction. They may struggle for a year or two, but this is the best move for the long term.

Yes, it never made sense for the Pats to have Cam be their QB, he just does not fit their offensive scheme and really does not have the right skillset to do it. Mac is undersized, but from day 1 of practice it was clear he gets it, he understands how to make the right pre-snap reads and gets the ball out quickly. He also at this stage in his career is a better pocket mover than even Brady was. I am worried about him getting injured, but overall I think he will do a really good job and am looking forward to the season.

I am a Giants fan, but spent a long time in New England and the Pats were always my AFC team...until the Giants needed to win Superbowls!
Yes, he is small, but he played very well with some pretty big O-Linemen in Alabama, and Drew Brees seemed to do pretty well for himself. I just don't know if they have enough around him at this point.

Yes, very true. Mac Jones had better receivers at Alabama than he does on the Pats. We have already seen in pre-season where Jones has made great throws that should have been touchdowns, but ended up dropped or just out of reach. Can you imagine a college QA having to make adjustments to work with lesser receivers than he had in college? Its comical to think about this but I think its true. In fact, I watched the Bama Miami game this past weekend, and I think Bama's current receivers are better than what the Pats have. Missing on N'Keal Harry was a big blow for the Pats.

He’s not that small, probably slightly below average QB height. Tua is small. That’s an interesting week 1, hoping the dolphins get a win
