Sure. At the right price. That said, he'll still have rfa status at years end on a $3m cap hit. Which isn't bad for the Sabres if they want to re-sign him - Michael Pachla
He's a UFA after the 2022-2023 season.
How much term are you doing for Olofsson after this season, as I'm guessing it wouldn't be a one year deal?

not locking into anything yet...depends on how the season goes including the development of every player on the roster...that said, a first round pick in the '22 draft would be hard to pass up, even if it's in the lower 3rd of the first round
Your rolling Hank!! Nice Read
Hopefully that line can mesh a bit, needs someone not afraid to work the walls though like a Peterka. And not to be a jerk but do not like Tage with Cozens I truly hope Quinn takes that spot. - Buff36

assuming Jack is done
I think it's two fold with Olofsson
what does he do this season
what does the kid core do this season
he will be 27 when the 22-23 starts so there is risk to long term deal (see okposo, moulson, skinner)
he has yet to play a full season
flip side, he has scored as many goals in the last 2 years as couture, forsberg. duclair, kessel
duclair signed for 3 mil a year, duclair over 7 per season
his goals per game played translates into 25 goal in a full season though small sample of 116 nhl games
if the kids take 2 steps forward, and they think they can compete for playoff spot in 22-23 then it may make sense to go 5.5 per if he puts up 25 goals in a jack less year
if they do not think after this season they can compete in the next 2 to 3 years, may be time to see what asset they can get for him
Jeff Skinner – Casey Mittelstadt – Victor Olofsson
Anders Bjork – X – Tage Thompson
Arttu Ruotsalainen - Rasmus Asplund - Vinnie Hinostroza
Zemgus Girgensons - John Hayden - Kyle Okposo

You're right, those are the options. Nothing is written in stone as MP says...but I think the latter (him being on pace to score 25g, butnot being in the long term plans) will be the way that falls.
I guess I'm of the mind 22-23 will be a tanking year, not a playoff hopeful season. I'd be happily wrong...

again, there are a lot of ifs, so that's why i'm waiting...that said, once he's gotten acclimated to the particular league he was playing in, he's found the back of the net:
final season with frolunda: 27 goals in 50 games
with amerks: 30 goals in 66 games
with sabres: 35 goals in 116 games
yes, i get the pp acumen, but scoring goals is a good thing

Edit: And probably pretty loaded
sometimes ya gotta balk at what agents are suggesting and do what you think is proper for the situation you're in:

Steelers’ OLB T.J. Watt overruled his agents who believed they could get more money today, marched into the office of Steelers president Art Rooney and told him they had a deal. Then the NFL’s new highest-paid defensive player excused himself and announced he had to go work out.

You're assuming that this is whole thing was not the agent's doing
