Which bad contract goes back. Dustin brown, Jonathan Quick? Maybe adding another 10 million to there Cap while they only have 2.5 in cap space right now isn't that great of a idea. And I seriously doubt Kopitar or Doughty are going anywhere. So maybe they move Victor Arviddsaon to Buffalo.
For those on the east coast. You should know this is how they like to do things in LA. Make big moves. Spike season tickets. And then figure out the cap problems latter. The Lakers and Dodgers do this constantly. And the fact the Kings would even think about doing this is Crazy. But as a Ducks fan this should be funny to watch the team up north wallow is self pitty for the next five years. I really hope this trade happens. Eichel+Doughty+Kopitar contracts = No playoffs for Kings. This would almost Mirror what Sharks fans are doing. Karllson+Burns+Valasic contacts are killing San Jose.

E5 Eichel is not going to the Kings or Vegas! I cannot compel myself to type “Golden Knights” it’s like a 24 hour long Golden Shower! |

Why would the kings trade Bjornfot (position of need) or kaliyev (they haven’t had a sniper since maybe palffy).
Walker or roy could be an option.
Turcotte. Vilardi. Walker/roy (or D prospect not named Clarke) and Kupari. 22 1st with protection or 23 1st. Would be my highest offer
Edit. My 2 cents. Don’t trade for Eichel

So I was just looking at the Vegas roster. They have $0 in cap space so how do they even add Eichel for $10m?? Nearly all of the guys with larger cap hits have NMCs or NTCs where I'm sure Buffalo is one city off limits. So there wouldn't be much salary going the other way. Can anyone propose a legit trade? |

Quick, Iaffolo, A 1st and Turcotte would work cap wise. But I still don't believe it! |

They have $2.7 mill in cap space to start with. If they sent Vilardi, Iafallo & their choice of Roy/Walker back the other way, that would be more than enough.
Turcotte/Vilardi/Iafallo/Walker would make that work. That's two top center prospects, a 20-goal scorer from BUF with term, and a decent puck-moving d-man with a reasonable contract.
I wouldn't expect BUF to get much more than that under the circumstances. |

Yeah. From Buffalo side maybe. Doesn't matter from the Kings side though. With Eichel/Kopitar/Doughty taking up half there cap space for the next 3 years there won't be any way to build a deep enough team to win in the playoffs. That's if they do make it to the playoffs. |

It would start with MaxPac going the other way around |

So Pacioretty's m-NTC clause has Buffalo as a potential destination?? He wants to win a Cup, not rebuild in a crappy city. |

You're forgetting a few things. 1. Most of the Kings adds will be from within, and they will be playing on ELCs for the first 3 years. 2. Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter & the Dion Phaneuf buyouts come off the books at the end of this year. That frees up $14 million. Quick's $5.8 mill comes off the following year. Also, there's only 3 years left on Kopi's deal. If the Kings have Kopi/Eichel/Danault/JAD or Kupari down the middle, good luck matching up with that. Then they'll be adding some combo of Byfield/Kaliyev/Fagemo/Thomas/Madden on the wings. Brandt Clarke on D. That has the making of a hell of a lineup. |

Lol. Yeah roy and walker will get it done. It's why the sabres have been holding onto to eichel, so they can snag those two. |

That why I said the next 3 years. But if you truly believe that the kings have enough prospect depth then yeah. But I really doubt it. The prospects they have are going to need some time to mature. So realistically maybe the 3rd year they complete for a playoff win. But that's a lot of its. If Drew Doughty and Anz Kopitar keep playing at a high level. And If those prospects develop enough. And if you can keep getting 1B goaltenders to have career years. And If Eichel doesn't have any fall off in production.
But it's all speculation. If the Kings get Eichel it's really about putting butts in the seats. Because it's the LA way of doing things. Go big or stay home |

I feel like LA is bored, waiting for training camp to come, and pretending to be interested in order to drive up the cost for Vegas. Acquiring Eichel would upset everything that LA has been building, but screwing with Vegas is free. |

It depends on the players. Toronto with theirs haven’t done anything. Tampa with Kucherov at 9.5, Vasilevsky at 9.5, Stamkos at 8.5 won back to back cups. |

Really, there is nobody that is worth a ship on the Kings that would even go to Buffalo. The Sabres would not trade with them. These stories get more and more far-fetched by the day. |

All the Kings insiders said very early on that LA was not after Eichel at all. I also cant see how Vegas could possibly even make a trade for Eichel. They have little to no assets left. |

I can't see the Kings being that into him as look at their center depth barring trades or injury.
NHL
1-Kopitar
2-Danault
3-Villardi as of now
4-Anderson-Dolan
5-Lizotte in a pinch
AHL
1-Byfield as of now if he doesn't make the Kings
2-Turcotte
3-Madden
4-Kupari
5-Thomas
6-Dudas although I don't think he'll make the Kings as a center if at all
They are pretty stacked at that position and I'm not saying they don't need Eichel(every team in the league could use him)that I wish they'd spend their prospect capital on the heir apparent to Doughty instead. You figure if they trade for Eichel it's going to be all prospects going back and although the Kings are one of the few teams in the league along with Ottawa and the Rangers to do this deal without destroying their farm system I just don't see them as a good fit financially with the Kopitar and Doughty contracts at 11 and 9 million can you afford to add a 10 million or near it contract?
The only thing I think that connects the 2 teams is the GREAT friendship between Robitaille and Eichel's new agent Pat Brisson who was Luc's party buddy in LA for a long time in the halcyon days of 90's Kings hockey! |
