So you're saying neither can be taught? - NewYorkNuck
No, they can't be taught to some players though.
I use Goldobin, Jake and Derrick Poulliot as prime examples of players who have struggled at learning how to improve on either or both, offense or defense. |

Gretzky, McDavid, Crosby, Chelios, Lidstrom... 0 Calders.
Tyler Myers... 1 Calder.

Thanks Carol, Demmer’s a beauty. Gibson isn’t really competition for the net internationally anymore, but if team USA gives Demko a game he won’t come out.
@VANTEL agree (sort of) with your long term deal warnings, but I think Eichle as an example is rare, and OEL had a 6 year bridge and then the massive 8 year deal. I don’t think you would be considering moving on from Petey during this contract no matter the length, unless something terrible had happened. - 1970vintage
I wouldn't completely count Gibson out. I follow him a bit because I like his style. His numbers are dropping because the Ducks team D is absolutely brutal. He is pretty much their only hope most nights. |

if there is enough people, I would love to join. - Codes1087
We always seem to get at least 10+ people and I already have 4 others interested so far so I think we should get more than enough. Goal is to get 10, ideally we can get 12. Hopefully Carol will join us again this year as well.
PM me your email for the invite. |

Maybe, I don’t think he’s getting better anymore, and I don’t think he is capable of outperforming either Hellsey or Demmer. |

It's Hellebuyck's job to lose as far as the starter goes. Even though I love Demmer. I just think Gibby is capable of sneaking in as the backup because there isn't a huge gap between him and Demmer. Either is very capable of getting hot at the right time. Love the US Goaltending depth. |

Ducks should be looking to move him. Plenty of teams that could use the help in goal. Bruins, Penguins, Avs (yeah, they made a move but…), Leafs etc. then there’s teams like the Oil. |

After those 3, they don't really have much though. |

Spencer Knight and Cal Petersen are knocking. They could take either to be a 3rd stringer for the experience or due to injury. Both will be in future conversations internationally. |

Does DiPietro have a chance to be that 3rd guy for the Canadians? I guess three NHL guys would actually welcome going, even if one of them knew he wouldn’t play a single minute. |

Really now? How many Dexter Southfield Highschool games did you watch him play? Or was it the Cape Cod Whalers you watched him play on?

I wouldn’t stress about explaining yourself. Rojan’s just a miserable pri ck. But let’s be honest, who isn’t a miserable pri ck in here? |

You see with the lesser tournaments that the third guy is usually a young guy, just taking it all in. But I guess being part of an Olympic roster is enough cache even if you never even strap on the pads.
Was just thinking, with things the way they are right now, perhaps some guys might not want to go all that way knowing they won’t play, or be able to really get an authentic experience. |

Just putting together a 70’s playlist. Any off the beaten track tracks that any of you love?
Going for all genres, from disco to heavy metal (Boston).
Thanks |

Oh man, that’s one hell of a request. Probably the best era of music ever.
If you want something out of the ordinary, my suggestion would be 70s funk. So good. Try Parliament or Funkadelic. Pretty much the same band under two different names (both George Clinton projects). Something from Parliament’s album “Funkentelechy vs. the Placebo Syndrome” or “Mothership Connection”. Or you can get something from Funkadelic’s “Funkadelic” album. Either should do the trick for examples of good 70s funk. |

Yeah, it’s a tall request, but I’m just looking for stuff just like this. Stuff I don’t necessarily have in my library already that really says ‘70’s. |
