Used to live in Singapore and flew often, used to live in NJ and well yeah it was a poop hole in comparison
Even changi in 1996 is better than 2021 Newark.....not saying much but I found it the same with numerous other airports in the US (jfk, Miami, Orlando, O'Hare, and others)

Las Vegas is the worst airport I've ever been to, which surprised me because the city is "glitz and glamor" but the airport is... not

I feel like America is very indifferent about airports post terror attack.

no one wants to spend time in a (frank)ing airport. the workers sure as poop don't want you there either. they're there so you can get the (frank) out of whatever city you're leaving as soon as (frank)ing possible.

If an airport has ease of navigation and runs smoothly, I don't need any bells and whistles.

13000 airports compared to like 2 or 3 - DirtyDan
I can give you a list of airports that I have traveled through that are light years better than any of the top or major US airports.
Changi
Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
Sydney
Zurich
Melbourne
Narita
Heathrow
Heck even Gatwick which isn't exactly a good airport
Hong Kong
Dubai
Amsterdam
And others
I haven't gone to Doha/Qatar but I know that is always rated very high
And even some of the smaller airports I have found better than US

You just threw in a fake place to see if we were paying attention, didn't you? Pretty sure Narita is northwest of Gondor

I have had layovers where there have been 6 hours between flights.......would be very depressing in a US airport
Luckily I went for a swim and was able to watch a movie for free before my connecting flight

Going in 2023 to pick out some Koi fish. Any small attractions you saw while there you were pleasantly surprised by? Spending a month there so should have time to get around, not sure how to fill yet though.

Be prepared to eat some very interesting food
There are lots of really cool places to visit, depends really what you are looking for
Better than South Korea when I went, the menu would just say meat......later found out what type of meat (granted it's gotten better since)

Miami is an awesome people watching airport. English is like the fourth most common language to hear.

Have any of these countries experienced terror attacks on the scale of 9/11?
