They won’t trade the captain, they won’t trade Nylander, they won’t be able to trade Marner without holding some of his salary, so if the leafs don’t win a round this season I’m not going to be surprised if Matthews gets moved

Also, the coyotes "beginning" their rebuild? They're whole existence in Arizona has pretty much been a rebuild....just different phases of it. The team is a mess, if he wants to disappear in the hockey world, then sure go to Arizona

I'm not sure why you think he doesn't deserve the EA cover.

He's young, he scores exciting goals. More appeal to the young kids than Ovi, and Ovi was on it two years ago.

As an aside, I took a look at previous cover - there's been some pretty strange selections over the years:

Ok, I hope Matthews does play a huge role in leading the leafs this season. However that being said I’d like to see him moved. Not only because I don’t think he stays in Toronto for the majority of his career but I also think between him, Marner, and Nylander he’s the best one because he’ll get the largest return by a landslide.

Perhaps I’m wrong and he’ll stay but I pretty much 99% doubt he sticks around

Oh wow I’ll be able to finally go there after Thursday when I get my second shot.

I’ve hated waiting but I wanted to make sure my neurologist could tell me I was safe to have it done.

Thankfully shoppers is walking distance since I’m not allowed to drive
