Thanks!

She should be good. They were able to take all of the cancer out and there wasn’t any spread. It seems like the radiation is more so to lower the chances of it coming back and afterwards I think she said the chances are around 5%, so that’s great news.

It was 1 hour in one direction and then 2 hours back the opposite way. Not too bad, just looks funny on the map.

Check the link you posted again.

Marner would never take no 750k little female dog bonus.

He gets big boy bonuses. The salary is 750k.

- Leafs43

It literally lists the $750K under the bonus listings.

Year one: $700K signing bonus and $15,300,000 incentive
Year two: $700K signing bonus and $14,300,000 incentive
Year three: $750K signing bonus and $9,608,000 incentive
Year four: $750K signing bonus and $7,250,000 incentive
Year five: $750K signing bonus and $7,250,000 incentive
Year six: $750K signing bonus and $7,250,000 incentive

If I’m reading this wrong how so? Are you saying the incentive was paid but the bonus hasn’t been?

I’ll openly admit it if I’m reading it wrong but I thought that just the $750 was the bonus and he had to play the season to get the incentive (unless on LTIR of course)

You might be wrong there.

I believe the $9.608M is signing bonus, the $750K is the base salary - which makes the total salary $10.358M. Cap hit still a mere $10.903M.

- 21peter

I’m open to the idea that I may be wrong but that’s not what the site is saying regarding the signing bonuses. However they do call it “incentive” so I’m openly willing to admit I’m processing it wrong.

Take a look at my other post so I don’t have to type it again please lol

Looks like I was reading this wrong!

“ In 2021-22, Marner will earn a base salary of $750,000 and a signing bonus of $9,608,000, while carrying a cap hit of $10,903,000.”

Something I’m glad to be wrong about actually lol

Oh I know it’s brutal there now, the aim for other countries was to be out by aug 31, did they accomplish that?
- Dozzer

Well Biden just gave them 64 million in aid. Errr bribe. So I’m sure that will make it better.

No, the bonus is $750K

The salary is $9.608 million

- Dozzer

No.
Its a base salary of 750K, bonus of 9.6

His base salary is 750K each year of his contract

Edit: Nevermind

Nobody's saying that.

Look, this is all shades of Tavares (and Thornton 10 years ago).

Nothing that any NHLer says means a damn thing about where they will next sign.

Nothing about where they spend their off-season is any indication of where they will next sign.

We have no idea. I suspect that at this point Matthews has no idea.

But you're throwing your hands in the air, implying we are all naive to think there's a possibility that Matthews will want to stay.

You are welcome to your opinion that he will leave (it's what I also believe). But it's nothing more than an opinion. It's not fact.

- Atomic Wedgie

Agree with Dozzer also.
It is clearly just a guess. The Leafs may have to throw max dollars at him on an extension in year 4. He may be the first UFA to command max $ on the market.

I’m literally shocked about this but I guess I’m glad I’m wrong.

I wonder why the owners agreed to it… is that the way it’s done in other sports/leagues?

I'm standing in line to vote and it's taking for (frank)ing ever because of Covid. Trudeau is a (frank)ing idiot. Why why would you call an optional election during a pandemic, (frank)ing stupid piece of god damn poop.

They can't trade the captain.

NMC.

He's not leaving.

- Atomic Wedgie

Here is a question for you Wedgie, Do you think the Leafs would ever ask him to waive? Something tell me they wouldn't.

Okay, okay.

Wanting to trade Marner is typical Leaf fan hysteria. I can't wait to see him annihilate the league and win the Conn Smythe. I called it.

I think he’s the best one to keep honestly. I think he’s the one that will remain great the longest, also, top line, top PP, and top PK.

Then people whine that he doesn’t score goals even tho he isn’t a goal scorer he’s a playmaker

Yeah I agree, he’s the type of guy who just needs a great shooter as well, not someone as talented as Matthews

Grab a 7 million dollar go to the net center with someone like Nylander he’ll produce just as well is my guess… and make the line cheaper

Yeah and his style isn’t something that will ever truly wear off imo…. Cause he’s not someone who tries on speed and physical play

If you factor in that he's already received his 2021-22 signing bonus, he's owed an average of just less than $5M per year for the remaining five years of his contract.

Yeah, bad cap hit, but you could easily find a team that would take his contract. The Leafs would not have to retain a cent.

Edit: I divided his total money left by 5 - should have divided by 4.

Math is hard.

- Atomic Wedgie

Marner to Arizona

Then Dozzer's prediction will def come true, Matthews follows, Arizona wins the Cup before the Leafs.

.....wait........
