Awww, I know you don’t like when people don’t agree with you
Have a lovely evening then - Dozzer
It's nothing to do with disagreement dozzer and we both know it, you've disagreed with me for an hour and there's been zero issues with that. Although since I have disagreed with you, your bias on things seems to have evolved. That's cool I suppose. 🤷🏻♂️
It's about the insult, the intentionally taking things out of context with the intent to incite an endless back and forth. It was my decision to let it go, I'm not sure mocking as much is beneficial there. If we've learned anything since you've been back it's that mocking people isn't really being looked on as a positive, and I fully support that approach.
I can go on my way knowing his act will play out with 5-6 other posters as always, and you will still have the poop show to deal with. It's just my hands will be clean and I won't have that little pink screen out of the deal. Plus, it's still afternoon here. 🤣 |

Oh for christ sake.
Nope, I knew he would read it as well...which he did....(hence "you two")
I dont pick on AA, Ive joke around about his willie hate once in a while and whatever his "calm down" phase was.
- Fakepartofme
And then you forgive joel and say it was started by AA because joel flat out lied and said he included picks in his first comment which he did not.
Sorry, I can tell who you like as another poster far more |

I only did that because you said it for a long time.
I’d respond to you, and you’d always say “calm down”
But I have no beef with you. And I don’t want any with anyone else. |

I cannot think of any HoF Americans who weren’t traded back into the states.
So no, I’m sorry, but I don’t believe it - Dozzer
Despite disagreeing with you.
I gotta admit I cannot think of one american born HOF player who played most of his career with a canadian team.

Defend yourself all you want. You take feelings and thoughts that don’t line up with yours poorly tbh. That’s how I see it.
Also as it being afternoon there too bad, try to use the time zone Toronto is in if you’re going to make chirpy little comments and then try to play innocent.

I just don’t do what you’re accusing me of doing.
I don’t hate Nylander. I don’t incite arguments. I don’t enjoy the little fights. I don’t insult people.
I just speak my POV, and you can’t handle it when I don’t agree with whatever you’re saying.

Without being specific it’s a poor comment.
Bundled with what? A 7th rounder? A 1st?
Being over generic is bad, just flat out bad. |

It's a bit of a deceiving stat, as 3/4 of the teams are in the states.
So there's a 75% chance a US player will start his career with a US team.
Almost nobody finishes their career with the same team.
So for a US player on a Canadian team, there's a greater than 75% chance that he will be traded to a US team, should he be traded. Same for signing as a UFA. |

It wasn't a chirpy little comment dozzer, it was the honest assessment that there's plenty of my day left to do something else. That's literally all it was.
What is happening. I know you're in Ontario... My kid lives there I deal with the time change every single day. Why would I be trying to chirp you for living in a different time zone. |

I intentionally left it that way because my comment was designed purely to show how the money aspect works in such a trade. That the value (however it needed to be made up) could be made up through picks and prospects.
And I did that specifically because I didn't want to be pulled into a debate on Marners value, and not tying an exact value to that allowed me to bypass as much and still make my point about how the money equates in such a deal. |

However even during the years where players didn’t change teams all that much American ones typically did.
I’m sorry but it’s a true trend. It makes me not believe that American all stars want to play full time outside their country. |

One of the worst things I've ever done in my life is definitely cutting up a poop load of habaneros, washing my hands thinking that was good... And then taking my contacts out. - joel878
I did exactly that about a week ago, except just jalapenos. Did both, took a piss and then took my contacts out but like an hour later. both hurt like hell. |

Well don’t be upset if you’re not treated well when you deliberately post in general.
Marner will never be traded because he carries no market value with the leafs retaining salary. That was the convo, and you tried to twist it. |

How many Americans are even in the HOF?
I certainly don't know much hockey history, but I can only think of a handful of Americans in the HOF. |

Well I don't know what to tell you.
When the team tells you why they traded him, the player tells you he wished he could stay at the time, every single journalist tells the same story about it....
If you don't want to believe it, there's nothing more I can say.
- Scabeh
There aren't very many American HOF players to begin with, because American hockey being decent is only 15 years old or so. |

Ya, I haven't had the oil come through the gloves before so i'm thinking these Habs must be on the very hot side as far as Hab/SB's go.
The kids were in another room and were complaining about their eyes watering.
I love heat but anything more than a Habanero is pure torture for me. I mix my Habanero's with Orange sweet peppers to make them a bit more family friendly too. They'd still blow the inside of your bumhole out though. - The Law
Haven’t you had enough of the Habs making you cry this year |

So I'm allowed to be a Richard and throw poopty remarks at someone if they intentionally post to not stir up a riot, entirely because I didn't understand what they were saying.
I would have thought less riot would have been more in your interests, and that's honestly what I was going for. Got it, guess I swung and missed.
Have a good day Doz. 👍 |

Fun fact I just looked up:
There's only 14 Americans in the HHOF.
Two are women.
One is Hobey Baker (didn't play in NHL).
One is Moose Goheen (didn't play in NHL).
One is Brett Hull, so kinda doesn't count.
Only Rod Langway and Chris Chelios started on a Canadian team.
Both were traded.
I'd have to say your hypothesis lacks the sample size to really be proven one way or the other. |

There have been 289 players enshrined in the HHoF. 14 of them are American-born, and only 12 are male, and only 10 played in the NHL:
Frank Brimsek (1960s; only ever played for US teams)
Joe Mullen (signed with Boston as a Free Agent after playing in Calgary for a few years)
Rod Langway (traded by Montreal)
Pat LaFontaine (never played in Canada)
Brian Leetch (never played in Canada - except for 15 games after a TDL deal right before the lockout)
Mark Howe (never played in Canada)
Chris Chelios (traded by Montreal)
Mike Modano (never played in Canada)
Phil Housley (traded by Winnipeg)
Brett Hull (traded by Calgary)
. . . I mean you have very little to choose from, and from that there's no anecdotal evidence to support that Americans always leave Canada at the first opportunity.
