I am smoking the shattered dreams of a an unproductive off-season.

However, I am pretty pleased with myself for coming up with a new nickname for the Oilers.

Great trade, love the line combo although I'd switch Monny and Campstove.

Yeah I was thinking about that, but I think the 3rd line with Monahan, Luc, and a rookie would never get out of our zone. At least Coleman can kinda drive play.

A rookie will sneak in the lineup, it will be Pelletier.

Pelletier already sounds like someone you can put into FlamesFire. Holland btw. is the German word for 'Dutch', so consider him flying on a cannonball... maybe with the whole franchise to Quebec.

Great news that Monahan is better. Very questionable that they made him play.

Hopefully, he can regain his form and final the other 100ft that he needs to develop in his game.

Where does this team finish in the Pacific? Do we make the playoffs?
Does any rookie have a realistic chance of making this team out of main camp?
Does Darth Vladar see more than 10 games this season? Does Wolf get a sniff this year?
Who leads the team in scoring?

We are going to make the playoffs.
No rookie will make the team.
Vladar will play more than 10 games.
Wolf will play the entire season in the AHL.
Blake Coleman will lead the team in scoring.

Looks like John has some other focuses outside of Hockeybuzz... doesn't even acknowledge it in his twitter profile, so I have a feeling this is a pretty low end priority given the sheer volume of Flyers related tweets emanating from him over the last week and a half...

If he can improve the defensive side, he could become very good.
The number of contracts at 47/50 is high for Treliving.

Calgary Flames cut 12 players from trainings camp roster.

Cameron Whynot(?!) was one of them. The Flames also reassigned Lucas Ciona, Cole Huckins, Rory Kerins, Ilya Nikolaev, and Cole Jordan to their major junior teams. In addition to that, Koletrane Wilson, Reid Perepeluk, and Greg Moro were all sent to AHL Stockton. The Flames released Connor Ungar, Carter Serhyenko, and Ben King from amateur tryout contracts. With all those cuts, 51 players remain on the Calgary Flames' training camp roster.
