Then trade him. There isn't a Canuck worth 8 million, never mind 10 |

Just thinking about eating a donut gets your saliva glands active, your stomach moving, your anxiety levels up in anticipation of the “reward”. Fast foods do the same thing. And diabetes as a result for a large number of people, I’d say Sugar is the most dangerous food/drug. But I still eat it - 1970vintage
Same could be said about eating a juicy steak (or hotdog for some).
That doesn't make meat a 'drug'
Caffeine and Nicotine (amongst others) is a psychoactive drug.

But I think the logo should match the team's name. How is a Canuck a stick in a rink?
I'm down for Johnny Canuck, there's some fun Canadian history there and his name is literally Canuck.
Seems weird and awkward to have a logo and team nickname that aren't even directly related to each other so I'm not a fan of the Orca or the stick logo - Nucker101
It's a 'C' for Canuck if you look real close |

I personally think 9 mil is too much for any player/ forward that has not broke 70 pts a year yet. I like the player but would like not to commit more than 8 a year on a bridged deal. |

Miller is worth $8. That’s it. Elias will eventually be worth $8 |

I’d bank on him (EP40) breaking out like Draisaitl did. They gave him 8.5 million for eight years after his rookie contract and a career high 77 points in 82 games. Pettersson will produce good numbers soon enough, he’s only 22. |

I am sure a lot of people would be willing to pay it and a lot wouldn't .
I look at some comparable top players like Barzal Laine PLD accepting bridge deals around 7 mil and that is where I think Pettersson slots in. Just because a few assh0le GMs want to ridiculously overpay like Dumbass in Toronto and Sakic in Col doesn't mean every GM needs to do it.
The thing that pisses me off more than anything with this is just get it over with. Both players will more than likely get signed so do it and drop this mystery crap. If the player does not want to agree then move on and hope they enjoy their new team.

I remember when Brock signed he did an interview and he said he told his agent to do what ever it take to have it over with before the season started. So that means he takes less if Benning holds out that long. I imagine it will be the same with EP and QH... best to stick to your strategy then to pay more over the term if you are Benning. Just dont let it go into the season.
I get we dont want to them to miss camp but its not just one season we are worrying about. |

Oh I’d absolutely give Elias 8*8 but he won’t sign longer than 3 years. |

Not really. He is a bit of a slug. He is a good player but I’d rather trade him than sign him for the $8MM plus that he will require to resign |

I personally think it will all be handled in the next few days. Canucks have between 16 and 17 mil and there should be no problem . Until then I will cheer for the players that show up. I am excited to see the new faces and will let the team and the agents handle the rest.
Like everyone I have my preferences but I promise I wont complain one way or the other.
