Teams reach every year. The difference here is, with the front office moves they made last summer, they lost any benefit of the doubt. Almost no one is confident in the guys making the decision.

The best defense of KA so far is that he may not have actually been in charge. It's a weak defense.

Not sure if someone’s mentioned this but wasn’t everyone pretty unanimously mad when the bills picked Josh, that seems to have worked out good.
Seems harsh to say the guys a terrible pick when he’s not played 1 nhl game yet.

Mittelstadt looks like an NHL player but Martin Necas looks better.

Do I think though that Rossi, Lundell, and Perfetti can have a bigger impact on their teams performance though ? Yes I do.

I still think as long as you get a good, serviceable player, it's not a total failure. If Zegras ends up better than Cozens or Rossi ends up better than Quinn, that's not great but what really sucks is getting a dud like Nylander. Thankfully Botterill turned that into something good

I was hoping for Rossi at 8 tbh and I think it’s risky to bet on a 1 year performance, but I’d expect Quinn to be a 30 goal a year type player for where we picked him, and who he was taken before.

If he’s not I’d say that’s a fair assessment and we should have gone with a Rossi or lundell, but I’m willing to give him his chance to show he can be a better or equal player to those mentioned.

I was one of them and I am not ashamed to admit it. 99.5% of the time that kind of pick goes exactly the way that people expect it to.

There were a few people that wanted Leon over Reinhart before that draft.

That’s fair.

I also was in the Cozens > Zegras boat.

It’s a moot argument if the players are both 2nd line producers.

What I’m worried about is Quinn being a serviceable NHL’er and is leaving a potential high impact top 6 forward on the board.

That isn’t good, especially with the fact we now have a lack of Center’s in the pipeline (without seeing a Jack Eichel return)
