I disagree with your comparisons. Skinner should also easily get 50 pts. 2014 team was so much worse than this team it’s not even close

Well he was drafted as a RW. I see no issue with exploring the potential of playing center. Liking one player over another is an issue youre going to have to jump to simply accept him for what he is and that he is here.

Quinn played LW for the 67’s and for Canada at the WJC despite the fact he’s a right handed shot.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t be able to play RW but he does like the left side (just like Vanek).

From all of my viewings of Peterka he has played RW despite being a left handed shot. I can’t see why he couldn’t play LW but he does seem to also prefer attacking on his off wing.

So they are now forcing Jack Quinn, a right handed shot that plays LW, to play Center during the Prospect Tournament.

Not taking Rossi or Lundell looks even dumber by the second.

He played some C last year in Rochester

Usually fun to criticize that pick, but you're reaching here.

This is a non issue. There is nothing wrong with seeing how he plays there.

if fun means boring, yeah I guess. Exploring the versatility of a prospect should be seen as progressive, something the Sabres don't typically know the meaning of. There's basically no centers at this tournament, so why not see what you have. If he ends up having a career where he can spot in at center, I'm pretty sure that's a useful (frank)ing trait.

Out of necessity. We have like 30 wingers in the organization and 2 Centers.

We can’t even find 4 guys to play center on the Sabres never mind Roch

They liked his limited views there too, which is why they're continuing this. Again, versatility matters. If it works, awesome, you have a guy who can fill in. If it doesn't, no harm, get him back on the wing.

I have no problem with them stacking the top line with the most talent possible though. Plus it will be more interesting to watch now

If Cozens attended and Quinn played wing, does it somehow feel better?

If you want to criticize the pick and their C depth, I'm in. I just don't care about the lines for these exhibitions at all.

I'm still mad they drafted Wayne Primeau when Jason Botterill was RIGHT THERE. I paid Twitter to promote my angry tweet about it.

Maybe Quinn is a center and Cozens is a winger in 2 years

Don't think if done right this tank takes as long, more cooking in the prospect cupboards. Last one TM traded it all away, there's more of a flow through the system right now.
- Buff36

Clearly we are “tanking” this year
Even if it’s not on purpose, we are gonna suck

And without being able to sign quality UFAs,
I’d expect next year to be tough too

Best we can hope for is to eventually start looking like Ottawa did last year- where they were still losing games, but also fun to watch & u could see al the young talent really starting to develop into something

A little lick in the next couple draft lotteries would obviously be a big help too

Next year will be tough, but hopefully some take that next step, and a few youngins step up and with hopefully another strong draft and what Eichel hopefully brings back hoping 2yrs with a real eye on the 3rd yr

That seems reasonable to me
We’ve just gotta hope things go right this time & don’t get all Fd up
