Still a two way contract, but yeah, I'd really hope he gets a real look to compete here.
He has to start in Ottawa this season ... right? There's no way they can start him in Belleville after all this.

So I guess that means he doesn't play but gets shuffled off for nothing but in a way that will allow Dorion to declare it to be the proudest day of his life.
All the best to LB wherever he ends up. He could use a break. |

I am not certain where I read the comment but the idea put forward was Ottawa simply did not have a trade option. |

So, with Brown signing, I assume he'll be starting in Ottawa this year:
Tkachuk Norris Batherson
Stuzle Pinto Brown
Formenton Brown White
Paul Tierny Watson |

Instead of who? Norris, White, or Tierney? They're all way ahead of Brown on the depth chart, plus Smith trusts them far more. Brown has to prove he can handle NHL minutes... it's 4th line with maybe some PP time at best. Even so, it's good to see him back in the fray.

Brown gets a year to prove he can stay healthy, and is ready to be part of the team's plans. Pinto gets a chance to develop in the AHL, and be first call-up. Melnyk finds a way to not address the C situation for another year. Really hope it's some kind of long-term play for Giroux.

M tkachuks interview says it all about this obnoxious family.
Theres 1 spittin chiclets video with them and old man keith really comes off as a jerk. Kept pushing the mic in front of brady telling him to speak up. And at 1 point is telling mathew your a tkachuk you dont need to apologize for anything.
There is other video of all them at 1 point or time being jerky.
Im at the point if their perceived royalty is effecting negotiations. Sign him up for 3 . And trade the tkachuk asap. - spazzbot
Always knew this about the Thachuks ..........F the whole family! |

We don't know if any of this is true. It could be Matthew just poking the bear.
I don't believe that Brady will miss even one day of training camp.
Everyone needs to stay cool.

Rookie game is pretty sloppy. But still entertaining.
Youtube broadcast has been surprisingly good. Some bugs on the sound but the camera work is NHL quality. |

I would have no problem playing him ahead of Tierney and let him and White fight for 2 or 3 C. I remember watching LB play with Tkachuk and Duclair a couple couple of years back and they looked great together which is why I really would like to see him get one last shot at it here in Ottawa but I doubt that will happen. |

About L. Brown signing something doesn't feel right especially with all the animosity between the Brown camp and the Sens. If Smith cuts him he's not waiver exempt. Either Dorion promised him something or a potential trading partner insisted on him being signed for whatever reason.???? |

I'm not worried for Brown as long as he makes the team. Where he plays doesn't matter because he'll be the Sens top C by Xmas. |

Let’s get this Brady extension DONE!
Then offer sheet Pettersson.
Then trade for Eichel.
Then Rielly.
Then wake up from my dream. |

Melnyk is and will continue to be a drag on all revenue streams. He has made enemies in just about every segment of business and government. I have grave doubts of his being able to repair the damage. I think his choices around the Senator Foundation was a last straw for many.
I hope they find a solution. But it will not be easy. - spatso
If Melnyk had any sense left in his tiny pea brain, he’d sell the team, and retract into the shadows, never to be publicly shamed again. But we all know his ego is way too big to do that. He’d rather get destroyed over and over by Sens fans and media, and all of the NHL really, if it means he gets to keep his name in the headline. Unfortunately for us, his ego is bigger than his business sense.
God I hate this guy. |
