Hoglander Horvat Podkolzin best second line in the league. - VANTEL
I have been advocating for this line for a while now and I believe that that line could be an absolute pain in the ass to play against. They would have the puck in the offensive zone a lot and wear a lot of teams down. Each player is strong on the boards and protects the puck very well. It would be fun to watch for sure! |

“Dhaliwal thinks that moving a 1M-2M player to create cap space could be an option
The one player I think could be possible whether you like it or not is Tyler Motte
Plenty of depth to take his spot in the lineup”
“Or, you know, you just could’ve signed Tanner Pearson and Travis Hamonic to market value instead of overpaying them.
#Canucks overpay on depth pieces and need to make room shortly after to fit actual important contracts under their cap.”

Twitter GM’s hammering on Benning again - LeftCoaster
Typical basement dwelling chicken little drama queen. I bet he's been hindsight criticising Benning's cap management even before it became an issue like he saw the cap squeeze coming. Just typical hindsight criticism! |

Pearson and Hamonic did receive market value. What do the Twitter morons think a quality middle 6 forward is worth? Or a UFA, defensively sound RHD. They are stupider than benning 🤮 - CanuckDon
I agree, I think they signed for completely fair market deals. What’s the world coming to, I’m defending Benning |

Dhaliwal is the queen of panic. First of all Canucks have 16-17 mil . How much is he thinking of paying them, 11 mil each?
Also trading Motte? He never said that. That is from Twitter and people trying to figure out who needs to go. Lets say they trade Motte and bring in another 23 player on the roster the savings is only 400 K . They would be better going to a 22 or 21 man roster to save 1.5 mil . The bigger question is how much are you paying Hughes and Pettersson? - VANTEL
there's a lot of idiots who keep saying that the Canucks have 10-11M left in cap space when they completely discount Ferland's LTIR and players being sent down. They just lazily look at CapFriendly and assume that's it. |

I still think Hughes is worth only 6x3 and Petey 7x3. Just my own personal opinion. I won't complain at the numbers that are final results but I think any team locking players long term in a pandemic are effin nuts , but like I said that is only my thoughts.

I'm ok with Petey at 8 mil shorter term and Hughes at 7 mil shorter term. Petey is in good company with PPG his first two years in the league. Barring injury he was on pace with some pretty good players based of their first two years in the league. Kid should get paid. |

They will figure it out. I actually think Benning is holding out . I think he has set numbers and isn't budging and same with the agents.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if they do end up going longer term with Hughes. EP sounds like a bridge deal if you believe the rumours |

I expect as much action in the stands this year as on the ice. Maskers v No Maskers. I wonder what revenues are going to be like this year and the next few.

I honestly think the NHL could end up folding if they don't lift masking restrictions. It's one thing to require people to show proof of full vaccinations to get into the building, but I think it's stupid to force people to mask after they've been fully vaccinated. Cut the damn capacity in half and have people have a covered empty seat in between them. The mask mandates are going to keep people away from the arenas more than the vaccine passports/mandates. |

Is Rogers in Vancouver allowing full capacity I heard they were limiting attendance?
