Ive discovered if you read Darius, driftwood and/or Ruebys comments to the tune of any Alannis Morissette song the comments seem angsty instead of just complaining - neem55
I'm more Avril Lavigne than Alanis Morrissette... I'm complicated.
Plus I don't believe half the poop that comes out of my mouth (i.e don't take me too seriously) |

I don't think the team takes a step back because that would literally mean they'd have to be a bottom 5 team. That would take some serious Canuck luck to happen but that possibility is as high as the team winning the President's Trophy.
I think they're back to being a bubble team that if things go right (and that's outstanding goaltending more than anything), they make the playoffs.
I see great seasons for Brock (chance at 40g), Miller (don't necessarily like him but this team is suited for him - only issue i can see is friction between him and the coach) and QH (I'll leave the D to Reuby but I think he has a terrific season at least offensively.)
I tend to agree with Vantel on OEL. He will bring what Edler used to. Where I diverge on the Edler comparison is what point in Edler's career. I think OEL is Edler from about 3-4 years ago. He'll be the best all around Dman on the team but he's not a guy you can count on anymore especially in the playoffs. His play in 3 years worries the hell out of me with that contract.
I think the goaltending is solid. I just don't want Demko overworked. I'd leave his starts at 50 max. Interested to hear what the goalies (Load Management) on this board think about usage for the youngster this season.
I'm most cautious on Garland. His style of play combined with the increased travel and his size worry me. I think he could get worn down in the second half of the season.
As for rookies, I haven't seen them play other than a few highlites so I got fingers crossed. |

Ya I think Avril Lavigne had more actual talent but that's not saying much lol
Without Glen Ballard to write all of Alanis' big tracks for her she'd still be playing malls with Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. |

I found kings and Seattle just as funny. I feel we are at worst the 3rd best in the conference, I also think EDM will have goaltending issues which could derail their season. - Retinalz
Then you have an excellent opportunity to make some $.
21-1 is great value! |

I think Edm made some really good moves this year. I have them as the favorite. I see Vegas falling a bit or a lot. They have been loosing key pieces like MAF Schmidt and I will even add Reaves. They are not as tough and they are slower now being older and their net got definitely worse IMO. They have Stone still but the rest seem to be fading.
I don't get the love for Calgary at all but if they are happy who am I to laugh at them. - VANTEL
Those same guys I mentioned yesterday who took the over on Van, took the under on Calgary - “they will be terrible”. Tend to agree. |

I still think Vegas is stronger than Edmonton only because Edmonton doesn't have a decent goalie that can win 40+ games and their defense without Larsson is worse. I think we are tied with Calgary for 3rd best in the division. Seattle is going to be as mediocre and bad as Tampa was their first year and the Cali teams are all going to be bottom feeders. |

Sutter has a big slow team I think more suited for 2012. As a Canuck fan I like what the Flames have done but if I was a Flames fan I don't think I would be happy.
