I see the refs are in preseason form too. For those not watching, 6 minutes left, sabres down 3-2, JJ
Peterka with the puck in the Boston zone. Boston d with blatant trip right in front of the referee…no call.
30 seconds later same ref calls a slash on the Sabres and 30
Seconds after that a cross check. Boston scores game over. I know it’s only a prospect game but garbage refereeing like that still bothers me. |

everyone involved from players to refs to announcers to cameramen are shaking out the cobwebs...i really don't put too much into these games save for the best players/prospects are expected to make themselves very noticeable |

Thought he was pretty good last night |

He’s 23 and playing against kids. Murray vs pros you notice how bad his skating is and how slow he is |

Not everyone on the team needs to fly, let's see where it goes, might be a diamond in the rough. |

Rochester coach Seth Appert said the decision to sit Jack Quinn was “load management.” Quinn has a “long” training camp ahead and last night was his first game since hernia surgery.

No argument from me on any of those points
What impresses me about Murray is that he demonstrates very good body control and coordination without the usual "for a big man" disclaimer that typically accompanies players of his size. He's just in control of his body.
He very well may be too slow for the NHL though |

There were other players in that age range even on NJ roster. I certainly have liked Murray's growth over the last couple years, he isn't flashy, he's just a Hockey player. |

Wiped the blood off his face and went on the power play. Speaking of which, Seth Appert needed to tell those guys to shoot way more on the 5-on-3 today. They were looking for a perfect chance instead of getting pucks on net |

Agree with that. Bloom had a decent game today, had a couple nice chances. |

So Jack is coming to town, looks like he will be reporting on Physical Day. That could turn into a very intriguing day. |
