Skinner's a one dimensional player with no real interest in changing. I'm sure it's driven all his coaches mad. I don't expect that to change now, but I don't expect Granato to fight it.

I remember Ovechkin having his worst offensive seaosn ever and then the next year Trotz finally letting him loose again and that's when they won the Cup.

When you have Backstrom, why do you need Ovechkin to play defense? It almost back-fired on Trotz.

Ovechkin is a great example. A coach tried to change him and couldn't so he stopped trying to and then won a Cup with him.

He had his best season since 2010 when they won the Cup in 2018.

This is not the way I remember OV playing the season they won it all. He made a firm commitment to playing a good 2-way game..led by his strong offensive play. Previously, he was disinterested in D..just the G's.

Very, very early and small sample size..but none the less a big regression from 2020..largely led by issues in completing passes in the mid-range distance of 10 - 25 yards. Bug focus on throwing to the left side while. early ignoring the right.

Does Diggs lineup predominantly on the left side ? Could be the case
