In a perfect world, both Pettersson and Hughes wouldn't sign bridge deals and we could lock them up for fair market value on long term contracts.

The Dahlin deal IMO only gives Hughes more leverage, as his numbers were actually much better than Dahlin's (yes Dahlin plays on Buf), but if Petey was already looking at a bridge, and Hughes was looking long term, than given how much Cap space we have, this bar for Hughes on a bridge doesn't really help.
