In a perfect world, both Pettersson and Hughes wouldn't sign bridge deals and we could lock them up for fair market value on long term contracts.

The Dahlin deal IMO only gives Hughes more leverage, as his numbers were actually much better than Dahlin's (yes Dahlin plays on Buf), but if Petey was already looking at a bridge, and Hughes was looking long term, than given how much Cap space we have, this bar for Hughes on a bridge doesn't really help.

jk - tough break for Stalock. The long haul effects are brutal for some people. I haven’t listened to Travis on the Ray & Dreggs show, but apparently he was hit hard, and it took him months to recover. Brain fog could be responsible for the coaching decisions last year

If the team opts to keep Rathnone on the team at the start of the season, his cap hit is $975k and any bonuses he earns can be applied to 2022 (or 2021 if there’s space), but if they send him down because he’s waiver exempt in order to avoid losing a player to waivers (Juolevi for example), and they recall Rathbone later, his cap hit becomes $1.5m to account for bonuses, even if he doesn’t earn them.

I care for the guys on the team only. If players don't want to get vaxed or sign contracts good for them . Let me know when they are on the roster.

They have their reasons for doing what they do . I will enjoy the entertainment from the players on the ice.

I dont buy that it's a refusal to get the Vax. He skipped the bubble with Calgary because of covid and his daughter having a bad respiratory illness. It would certainly be a 180 from what I would expect given his past history around being cautious with covid and his daughter. These media reporters will do anything to stir up drama
